Perfectly located in the centre of Paris, this relativelly cheap hotel offers simple but clean & functional rooms, a good in-room breakfast and cooking facilities (on request), so representing a very cost-effective solution for some days staying in the French capital. The surrounding area is full of shops, restaurants and pubs, while the Chatelet-Les Halles metro hub is only 3...

We staid in Hotel Residence des Halles for a long weekend. Although we had to look around a little bit to find the hotel, we managed to do so eventually. It's quite a small hotel, but what else can you expect in the centre of Paris. Especially for this price, which makes it okay regarding price/quality. Adding breakfast is expensive...

Amazingly excellent location. Nicely finished, absolutely spotless room. Very friendly and helpful staff present 24/7 for security and service. Ideal if traveling with children or large group. The kitchenette thankfully allowed our family to save multiple restaurant based meals. Highly recommend.

This hotel is in an excellent location, right by all the major tube lines and Paris's major shopping area. Most places are within walking distance Notre Dame, Louvre etc. The hotel was clean and cheerful, the lady at reception was polite and answered our questions. The rooms were small but good, we had one with a window overlooking the street....

Stopped here with my son for 2 nights in July 2014 to watch the Tour de France. Great location, 15 minutes walk to the Louvre. Very clean hotel, excellent staff, very helpful. Room was small but perfectly adequate. Double bed, tv, balcony overlooking street below. Small kitchen area behind cupboard doors to reveal sink and kettle etc. Bathroom very clean....

Stayed at the hotel August 6th - 9th 2014 and it was such a pleasant experience. The room was great, SPOTLESS, not a speck of dust in sight, the location of the hotel is superb and you get a genuine French breakfast. Receptionist was very helpful in giving me directions to the attractions I wanted to see. I will definitely...

The rooms are clean and the staff very friendly. Also, the hotel is in a very central location and many of the areas of interest can be easily reached by foot. If you need to take the metro, a station is very close to the hotel. However, the good location has a downside. At night, the street infront of the...

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. My sister and I stayed for 4 nights, and the location was fantastic. The Seine was only around 2 blocks away, so we were able to walk to Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, the Lock Bridges, Il Saint Louis, the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, and more! The only things we really couldn't walk to were...

Recently returned from Paris, again. This hotel is small, clean, great hotel personel and can't beat the price and location. Since staying there a few years ago and last fall, the area has improved and expanded greatly. If you want quiet, this is not the place for you on the weekends. However, if price and location are important, this is...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
