This hotel is ideally situated for exploring the Quartier Latin - I highly recommend it for a first-time visitor to Paris, especially on a budget. The location is walking distance to so many of the things a first-timer would want to see/do (Notre Dame, Pantheon, Sorbonne, shops/restaurants) and tons of English speakers in the neighborhood. A little "touristy" but that...

I chose this hotel for the price and location, and was so happy with both. The room was small, but clean, and the windows opened to Saint Germaine and Rue de Seine. My friend and I loved this room! Comfortable twin beds, small but adequate shower and bath. AC worked very well. Front desk staff very helpful and courteous. No...

Great location, very small but room adequate and good working shower. Breakfast is offered but we found Paul's patisserie down the street and went there for less. Very helpful staff at the desk. We were able also to use the breakfast room to meet our friends in the evening before going out. Would happily go back there in my next...

Dear Tilden18, We would like to thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in Paris. It was a pleasure for our staff to discover your review. Great location - close to everything. Room size average for Paris - small but clean with free internet and a/c. We've stayed at four star hotels in Paris a couple of times and the room and location really wasn't much different. Street side rooms can be a bit noisy but closing the windows and turning on the a/c if it...

Dear P H, We thank you for taking time to share your experience. Welcome Hotel is very lucky to be located in the center of Saint-Germain des Près with the Seine River at the end of the street, and the Louvre Museum at few minutes walk. As the area is an old one in Paris, buildings propose small rooms. We...

this was our third visit to this hotel and although I neglected to write a review the first 2 times, our experience was similar on each occasion. A great hotel at an affordable price in the heart of Paris. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable for short stays with AC. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Right on Rue St. Germaine. Around the every corner are amazing restaurants, and patisseries. Next to three main metro stations: Mabillon, Odeon, and St.-Germain-des-Pres. Shopping around every corner along the street. The hotel was clean, reasonably spacious, had good free internet connection, and decent clean bathrooms. Even had a small elevator. 24 hr front desk, and concierge. Good air-conditioning.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
