Stayed for a few days recently. The room was smaller than expected, but the split level and high ceilings made it seem more spacious. The room was clean, comfortable, and the hotel itself was the perfect base for exploring Paris. A five minute walk one way brings you to the Louvre; a slightly longer walk the other ways brings you... More

We traveled Europe for 3 weeks. This was by FAR the worst hotel we stayed in Europe. The staff was excellent, and the price was reasonable for the location, but the hotel was completely dated, not very clean. Our shower head was not connected to the wall, there was a dusty hole in the ceiling, the wallpaper was pulled away... More

The highlight of staying in this hotel is the location. It is within safe walking distance of many of the tourist attractions as well as numerous restaurants. Also, the staff goes the extra mile in helping its patrons with directions, recommendations, and suggestions. Veronica, especially, was most amiable and helpful; she spoke excellent English and gave us input into the... More

We were a group of 5 people. Stayed in duplex rooms on the second floor. 20 and 21. We got a very good deal with breakfast included. We loved being so close to louvres museum and Royal palace gardens. We followed many of the wise recommendations given by the receptionnists. They made us feel home. Wi-Fi connection was very good... The hotel is in a very good location, approximately 10 minutes walk from Le Louvre which feels safe at night and has a predominantly Asian cuisine nearby. The disappointment started upon reaching the room which was the smallest I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was grubby with mildew on the tiles and the most useless shower which one has... More

Location of the hotel is just perfect. Just 5 minutes walk from Opera and Louvre. If you like to walk there is almost no need for using the metro. There are a lot of Chinese and Japanese restaurants in the street which are very crowded in the evening but the rooms are quite. We stayed in the room with 3... More

The room was a little smaller than expected but the service, cleanliness and friendly welcome were everything you could expect. Wonderfully central to many sites, Louvre Museum and Opera House are very close by as is the station for the Bateau Bus on the Seine. Good value for the breakfast although this is an extra charge, the road is a... More

Staff is really kind. In years it was the first time I?ve had such a large room in Paris for this price! Weak point the breakfast, that could be arranged a bit better, not for the quality but rather for the offer. Actually you have to ask for everything. All in all I'd say it was a nice staying at... We stayed in hotel baudelaire 3 weeks ago for a romantic escape. We chose this hotel because of the low prices available and especially the convenient location. My partner and I both love museums in the morning, shopping at noon, and good restaurants once the city gets dark. We got room 61 on the 6th floor which has a double... More

With my boyfriend we spent some wonderful 3 days in Paris. We choose this hotel for the area where it is located: on foot every location is reachable, Opera is very closed by, lots of restaurants and brasserie, supermarkets or shops. Hotel is very quiet and silent, the bed is very comfortable. The rooms are always clean and the temperature... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
