We stayed here while backpacking through Europe for two nights. Rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities. The staff were wonderful and so friendly. We arrived in Paris in the morning after a 25hour flight and staff were more than happy for us to leave our backpacks while we waited for our rooms. They accommodated in any way possible...

The room was not as it was shown on pictures. It was too small and this is very unconfortable. The staff is nice, and the location is great but this is not enough from my point of view. Staying 3 nights in such a small room it irritates me.

Hello, Thank you for taking your time to tell us your opinion. Concerning the fact that rooms are small, the Hotel is a historic building and unfortunately, many building from 17th / 18 th century have small rooms. Concerning the photos, each room are very different: the theme is not the same. We apologize if your trip was not as...

Very good location, 15 minute walk to Lourve and lots of good restaurants and bars close by. I see a few people commenting on street noise, well my advice is get used to it, you are staying in the heart of Paris in a character hotel at a very reasonable price. We elected to book a suite, which wasn't much...

This hotel was extremely well located within walking distance of both Notre Dame and the Louvre and very close to metro station. Took the train from the airport which dropped us a 5 minute walk from the hotel (Chatelet-Les Halles station). The hotel is a very old historic building which is quaint and charming. The rooms are VERY small and...

I might have known that when I reserved a room in January, asking for one facing the courtyard rather than the noisy street, come September, I wouldn't get it. Since I was there for only two nights, and since my train from Brive was late, the last thing I wanted to do was hunt for another hotel on a Saturday...

Dear Sir, We are sorry that your stay has not gone well. Regarding the street noise, several complaints were lodged with the police. Concerning the breakfast, there is no preference regarding allocation of seats but as the table in the small room is larger and can accommodate up to 4 people, we prefer to place the groups of several people...

I have been staying in this hotel whenever I am in Paris, for over 20 years! This is an old Paris building that resembles a mini castle with all the old black wood in the ceiling and walls. Note that there is no elevator and the circular wood staircase is rather narrow. The hotel has 3 floors so take it...

Very convenient location, more central impossible. Close to Metro and a nice walking distante towards Louvre and other points of interest. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We arrived in Paris by train, hopped on the metro and literally, just around the corner was the hotel. We are pleased that you enjoyed your trip in Paris. We just would like to draw your attention to the fact that there is a few international channels in the rooms: there is a button on the remote control to switch from french channels to international. Best regards.

This hotel was adorable and small. It was clean and staff was willing to help us with our safe that kept malfunctioning. They had breakfast that was quiet good. Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The timelessness of the place, the warmth of the fabrics and materials as well as the presence of wooden period furniture carefully gathered from years of going round the Clignancourt flea market, they all take part in the maintenance of a cosy atmosphere here at the Hôtel du Cygne. It is an invitation to relaxation and well-being and your host Isabelle has made sure everything has been taken care of so that you feel completely at home. What is more, this lifestyle can be enjoyed in the 20 rooms of the hotel, each one being specifically furnished with taste. Hence, every room has a unique character due to the attention paid to each one of them. For example, a writing desk in the French Empire style can be found next to a piece of polished Provençal furniture or even an Art Deco occasional table. Or you may also like how a particular bedspread actually matches curtains which are delicately adorned with ribbons or even the small bag of lavender that we put in the cupboards so that the rooms carry around the sweet smell of bygone days... Each room has a television set, a telephone and a safe for you to put your valuable items. They also have a bathroom with all the modern comfort that you will need : a shower or a bath, toilets and a washbasin standing on marble slabs that are assorted with the tiled floors. ... more   less
