I'm in love with this place! Next time in Paris I will definitely be back. The staff are always helpful, friendly and professional, thank you for making our stay really good! The Maison Athenee is a cosy, nice, quiet hotel. Yes, the rooms are small and the bathroom as well and if you are looking for a big hotel with...

We stayed here for three nights and loved it. The hotel is very conveniently located in a quiet street just around the corner from the Opéra Garnier; the big department stores (Galeries Lafayette, Au Printemps) are very close. The Louvre is also within walking distance. The (multi-lingual) staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The entire hotel (not merely the...

My husband really liked it but I found it a bit dark. It's all red burgundy velvet, very cosy old theatre ambiance with no much light in the lobby not in the room. Rooms are small, like in most 4* hotels in Paris but in a quiet street very close to Opera metro. The bed in very comfortable. We haven't...

I've stayed many times in Paris in smaller rooms with a 24x24 inch shower by those standards this room and bath were very spacious a little more space around the bed would be grand but bath was perfect. The staff made the trip. All there recommendations for lunch and dinner were spot on our desire. Location was very good for...

Spent a weekend here in November. The location was great, close to the typical french boulevards and walking distance (for us at least) to the major attractions. The rooms were kind of small so I would not go there if you plan to spend time in the rooms, but if you are just looking for a nice romantic place to...

Have stayed in a few "boutique" hotels in Paris all which tend to be small, Maison Athenee is still small but the room was not cramped at all and felt quite comfortable. Booking was handled very efficiently and no problems at all on arrival or departure. There is a very small lift in the hotel which is typical but I...

Surprisingly good hotel. Great location and very helpful personnel. Within a 10 minute walk from the Louvre. Galeries lafayette around the corner. And a wonderful bistro next door. We would definitely go back!

This was our first trip to Paris so I'm sure the small size of the rooms is normal. It was quiet and very comfortable. My husband and I had a wonderful stay for two nights. The staff go out if their way to attend to all of our needs. The rooms are small but elegant. The bed was quite comfortable. The hotel is on a quiet street but very close to everything. Only recommended change is the addition of a shower curtain.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
