This is a delightful hotel with a super staff. In particular the concierge, Jean-Marie was so helpful and made our holiday, sparing no efforts to help us. The bedrooms were very comfortable, stylish and well appointed. The bathrooms were well designed with wonderful showers and the beds were very comfortable giving us good nights’ sleep. The breakfasts were amazing, a week later and I’m still pining for them! The hotel dates from the 15th century and has been thoughtfully renovated but as a result the lift is small but that is easily worked around. The hotel is in an ideal position just around the corner from the Saint-Michel Notre Dame metro station and within easy access to many super restaurants, about which Jean-Marie was able to give us excellent advice. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and am very much looking forward to our next stay.

Hotel's Favourite
We first stayed here in 2021 with family to attend a wedding. We fell in love with it and have been back several times and have enjoyed each room we've stayed in. It's quiet yet perfectly located for seeing the sights and enjoying great restaurants. We especially enjoyed Henri and were disappointed when he retired. After previous stays in the past few months, I was thrilled to find him back helping out last week. He provides great advice and always goes the extra mile. So catch him if you're traveling soon. And guess where I'll be staying next month!!!

Really charming small hotel in a fantastic location. The staff are kind and helpful and the rooms are all unique, comfortable and well appointed. The location is what makes it amazing as the Seine is one block away, and the nearby shops, cafes and restaurants are all quite good.

A charming small boutique hotel, conveniently located. Very helpful front desk staff, charming clean rooms with comfortable linens and a good bathroom. Like all hotels in buildings that are hundreds of years old, things are tight on space and sometimes a bit quirky, but I would happily stay here again! Our room overlooked the street, but the windows did a decent job of sound isolation, and we slept well. The hotel offers breakfast, however we chose to wander the neighborhood in the mornings and try different cafes.

A comfortable small hotel on the Left Bank in Paris - I have been coming to the Vieux Paris since 1986. Three main features stand out: a friendly and helpful hotel staff, a tasty breakfast every morning, and spotless rooms (a spacious and warm bed, recently-updated bathroom with walk-in shower). It's a great spot for tourists because the neighborhood is fun. Interior decor is very French: fabric-covered walls and heavy drapes. I walked everywhere - Ile Saint-Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral (still closed for repair), Boulevard St. Germain, Sorbonne, Louvre, Musee d'Orsay. The Vieux Paris is always my Paris headquarters.

Great location to get around the city, good hotel. The staff at reception were extremely pleasant and helped with a couple of questions we had. Clean room, warm and quiet, we slept well. Would probably stay in a different part of the city next time.

I booked this hotel on the strength of the excellent trip advisor reviews but overall was underwhelmed. I do not want to say it was average because it has a fabulous location just a few steps away from the Seine and Notre Dame but "very good" would not be a true reflection of our overall experience. The rooms are small but as other visitors say - that's Paris. The decor in the room was cheap and garish with plastic headboard poor quality carpet and curtains which barely met. The front desk concierge was very helpful and the breakfast was pleasant, if a little disorganised. All in all it was fine but at 450 Euro per night I don't believe it was excellent value. We have stayed in similarly priced hotels in Paris - Hotel des Grand Hommes/Residence Henry IV and preferred both of them despite the excellent location here.

Very nice hotel. Superb location close to Fountain St. Michel and just across the Siene from Ile de la Cite and St. Chappelle. Many nearby restaurants are an easy walk. The hotel is on a quiet (wxcept during the Rugby World Cup)side street with easy access to the St. Michel and Odeon Metro stations. Very helpful staff at the front desk. Beware, however, that the nearby St. Michel/Notre Dame RER station is currently closed. Our room was quite small, but hey that's Paris.

Great hotel, great location. Lovely old fashioned room, very clean. Want to call out the very friendly staff, particularly Jean Marie, who was always so pleasant, friendly and helpful during our visit. Location was so central with all major sites within walking distance.

We had a fantastic four night stay here. Charming room, meticulously clean, outstanding location, and wonderful staff. It's on a quiet street which allowed for a good night's sleep. My son especially enjoyed the breakfast. We walked a lot but it was also helpful to have metro and bus stops nearby when needed. Hope to return one day!
