We only had one night at the Hotel de la Place du Louve in Paris but the hospitality shown us by Sophie, Helene and others was such a wonderful surprise that it made our stay a memorable one...we would want to go back to Paris just to stay there again! We were made to feel like honoured guests and it...

This hotel is central to most tourist attractions. The Louvre Museum is across the street. The Opera is a few blocks away. There is a Metro station behind the hotel and the Rue de Rivoli is a short walk. Harry's New York Bar is a short walk. The prices are reasonable. The rooms are nice. It's my favorite hotel in...

The hotel is small , the elevator for only two skinny people. The rooms are small but comfortables, the most important the room was very clean. They could update a bit the decoration. It serve its purpose, specially for the prize, nice bed with good quality linens and comfortable, good working air conditioning, bathroom was roomy, hot water. Great location...

We booked this hotel because we looked for something of good quality in the historic center and easily accessible with public transport. The hotel is very nice, staff was very very friendly and professional. We stayed in a duplex room that made us feel cosy. Decoration of the rooms could be a bit more creative and the light in the...

Lovely, bright, perfectly located hotel with excellent staff. We walked from there to all the best sights and reception provided us with pre-paid, discounted tickets for The Louvre and bateau trip. Will return here next time we visit Paris.

For the price we paid for our hotel room it was a great value, when compared to other overpriced hotels in the area. 5 min walk to the Louvre, 3 min walk to the Metro, (which gets you everywhere) Front desk was helpful in advice and directions. Rooms were tiny, but who spends time in their rooms. It's Paris go...

Absolutely fantastic hotel! It is very small but perfect for a truly petit Parisian experience! Such friendly staff, especially when we forgot adapters they were able to give us two without question. Have to stay in a Louvre view room as it is simply breathtaking each morning. A very quiet hotel and area in particular so if you are looking...

As I arrived there and the taxi drove away with my bag, I wasn't in the best mood! The service immediately phone the taxi who brought back my bag. And they did bring me the paperwork on the couch as I was waiting. The staff were very friendly all the stay. Lately I hadn't been in a big city and...

The main advantage of this hotel is its location. It is just next to the Louvre and the river Seine. All sightseeings are accesiible on foot. The thing that I did not like was that there were maintenance works in the hotel, although it was fully booked. In the room that they gave to me at first there was a...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
