We stayed here for a week after my husband accidentally booked this hotel at the non-refundable rate. We were kind of worried about it, but it turned out to be fine. The location is great, not a lot of tourists around. There are lots of local restaurants, patisseries, etc. The subway is right there. It is about a 45 minute... More

The hotel is right next to the Metro (Gambetta) which is great! The staff are friendly. I felt safe there. The first room I was given was not nice. It had peeling wallpaper. I had to ask if there was another room available....which there was. Why do hotels persist in this rigmarole. Especially fobbing off rooms to lone travellers. Would... More

I chose this hotel because it was close to where my daughter is living and is well priced. But it turned out to be a good choice. It looks very modest and somewhat old-fashioned (the Jetson-family styled bar never had anyone in it) but the rooms were clean and serviced everyday. And the toilet and showers worked well. My room... More

Our flight was delayed and we had to get a room to spend the night. The hotel staff was nice, pleasant and did everything they could to help us. The room was very spacious, comfortable and surprisingly spotless clean. I will defiantly reserve a room there whenever I'm in Paris

I had been brutally robbed in St. Petersburg. I had refuged back to Paris. I didn't know if they would have a room for me or not. They did. They had my room. The room is small; not much larger than the bed itself. But the west facing window is nearly as large as the wall itself. The view across... More

This hotel is to the east of Paris and well located within walking distance to the Metro. It's on a main road but room was quiet and clean. A little basic however for a night all that we needed. We got in very late and the night ported wasn't the most helpful however reception staff the next AM we're. It's... More

After reading a few reviews below I was beginning to get worried after booking months before. This hotel is basic but perfect for anyone who just wants a base while they explore Paris. Our room was on the 6th floor and there was zero noise during the nights. The beds are are also comfortable. The hotel is located outside the... More

Location very good. Nice restaurants around. Room was small, but clean. Bathroom bigger than usual when we visit Paris. The nearby Bar du Metro not good, two beers and two small glasses of red wine: total 28 euros.

I stayed in the Super hotel in September, as a couple. We were paying nearly €100 a night, so expected decent quality. Upon a brisk check in, we discovered a tiny room. I asked was a swap possible, it wasn't. The room wasn't clean (we found an old apple under the bed), dusty surfaces. We could hear next door talking,... More

Hotel was clean, rooms were small, parking was expensive but to be expected in Paris. Reception staff were very unhelpful! If staying here I recommend eating at the Indiana restaurant just over the roundabout, amazing food!

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
