On my first trip to Paris (May'16) I chose this hotel based on reviews and the proximity to the cooking classes I was taking. I liked it very much! Six months later I went back to Paris for another solo trip and stayed here again! It's a bit quirky to find but most Paris streets are quirky. It's very quiet...

The building is run down. The room was minuscule with very little closet space and no drawers. The furniture is old and decrepit. The bathroom is small. Very little sound insulation: 1. I could hear the people in the next room as if they were in my room. 2. In morning I could hear the talking loudly in the corridor...

I choose this hotel for different reasons, firstly the atmosphere and comfort of the hotel/rooms also for the transportation facilities just next-door and all the different types of shops and restaurants. It's also an animated Street with many bars for all tastes but once you're in the room you don't hear any noise. And of course the staff is professional...

Its not my first time to stay here but I find this place very nice, small hotel with four stars, super friendly staff, small room but clean and comfortable bed with the view of a typical parisien building, its in the center so you can reach everything even by foot. The piece of art Newly renovated Forum Les Halles is...

The rooms and bathroom extremely small and not air conditioned in a lot of the rooms. Fire Alarm went up Sunday morning, the staff did not know how to turn off and wake me up at 7am. Location is very good. Breakfast ok 17 dollars. Internet connection ok.

It has been said before, this hotel is awesomely located - steps from the metro station, bars, restaurants and popular attractions like Le Louvre, Notre-Dame, etc. With that in mind, there are some challenges. You have to walk from the nearest street to the hotel, pulling luggage over cobblestones, as cars cannot drive up. The elevator holds either 1 person...

The location of this hotel is hard to beat. It is steps to the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Rue de Rivoli, and is near the local cafes and quiet historic streets of the Marais. Breakfast was pan-European -- cold meats and cheeses, bacon and eggs, cereal, yogurt, pastries. My rear-facing room was small, adequately furnished and quiet. And, finally,...

It was adequate. It was a suite we had on lev 5. Hardly stayed in the room except to sleep. Very close to lots of bistro's & bars. Easy walking anywhere. I wouldn't give it 4 stars, maybe 3. Like the other person said it is great for a bed in central paris.

I don't even know where to start! I was organising a work trip for 40 people (a massive task as you can imagine!), and I chose this hotel for our stay on the 13-14th August 2016 as the location was perfect for us and for what we had planned. Our rooms were lovely, absolutely no complaints from any of our...

To begin with, I must admit that hotels in Spain are much more comfortable for a given number of stars than in most countries. This hotel is a four-star but: The standard rooms are very small: they do not have even a proper wardrobe or even some drawers to keep your clothes, the bathroom is a "shower-room" (60 by 60...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
