Room #304, reserved for 2 adults in early September 2016. The room was hot and the airconditioning was non-functioning. The management said that if they couldn't fix the a/c, they would leave a fan in the room for us. As it turned out, they just left a fan in the room since it was obvious there are few functioning a/c...

Used Expedia to book a room for a family at the given hotel. Reservation requested was for 1 room with 2 adults and 2 kids. What was allocated, without due notice to us, was 2 double rooms in this hotel. This was rather challenging, since we were not comfortable with kids sleeping alone, nor us sleeping apart. We arrived late,...

Our first trip to Paris! Hotel location is great. Close to metro and a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. We had two adjacent rooms. Rooms were bit small but bathrooms were good size and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioning could've improved

A bad experience. The hotel is dirty, old, and lacks a real air conditioning system. The phones don´t work either. The metro is really close and ther zone is attractive, but service is poor. Difficult to communicate since they don´t talk spanish and the english is too bad. In july, with the heat is difficult to sleep.

This hotel has a great location, it is close to pretty much everything you want to see in Paris. Second the staff is very friendly. Don't be surprise with the rooms, they are very small but comfortable, anyway everything in Europe is really small. so, book this hotel and have fun.

Understandable, instead we got the smaller room barely had any space, but the bathroom was clean and quite bigger. Close to anything, friendly staff and breakfast was good. No view in our room. I was able to check in an hour early and entertained by the singing of old movie tunes (well it is near Folles Bergere). If you are ok with a small, unrenovated (dirty marks, broken tiles etc) then this is a good budget hotel. Clearly 30 years it was great but they have not spent a cent to maintain it...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
