The hotel room was small but was nicely decorated, functioning well and comfortable. Staff were very friendly, helpful and they speak English well. The breakfast was OK with every basic food we need to begin the day. The hotel is located at a very quiet location but is a few minutes away from train station and is close to some...

A strange place with a North African theme. Its a bit off the beaten track and the rooms have interesting decor and nice bathrooms but the room itself was seriously small even by Paris standards. Lovely Italian restaurant next door. OK but situation and room size means I will not hurry back

We were here with out 1 year old. And the staff did everything to make us comfortable. The rooms were clean, and they even changed the sheets of our own babybed. The breakfast was a treat. the location was ok since there was a metro nearby. We'll be staying here again when we return to Paris.

A very friendly and welcoming boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was one of the best I have experienced in a hotel for many years. Very close to the local Metro station. Staff are very nice and eager to help in whatever way they can. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and well run. Very good location. There is a RER B station about 10-15 mins away that has direct trains into CDG Airport and a Metro line 10 mins in the other direction. Both give you quick and easy access to tourist areas. We (two parents and two children) stayed in this wonderful hotel two nights. Two rooms at the end of the corridor. In the coridor to the rooms was a extra door, which made it possible to leave the doors to the rooms open. The best way to have two connecting rooms, but with seperate bedrrooms for us and for the...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
How would you know, before actually entering the Villa Royale Montsouris, that you would be crossing the Mediterranean? The lobby, decorated in Andalusian-Moorish style, is a perfect representation of the charms of the Orient. Colonnades and vaulted ceilings, copper, zelliges and wrought iron make the hotel look like a traditional Moroccan riad. Combine the stories of One Thousand and One Nights with draperies, sheer curtains and precious fabrics and the rooms seem to jump straight of oriental palaces. The elements of the decor bring brightly-coloured touches to the place: the reds of the floor tiles and the ochres of the earthenware, the Majorelle blue of the doors, which, when closed, make Paris seem very far away. In this exotic and wonderful universe, the service provided by the attentive staff add a personal note to the unique charm of the establishment, located in a peaceful district of the Capital, near the Parc de Montsouris and the tram that’s a direct connection with the Porte de Versailles Convention and Exhibition Centre. ... more   less
