The hotel is located in a good area for visiting the sires and is well served by metro and buses. It is about 15 minutes walk to the river and its many tourist attractions
The hotel itself is very clean and the staff welcoming and knowledgable of Paris.
The bedroom was well appointed with a comfortable bed and tea and coffee makings available, however there was no milk.
The bathroom had an over the bath shower. We had e mailed prior to arrival requesting a room with a walk in shower as we both find clambouring into a high sided bath difficult. There was none available?
We had breakfast one morning in the hotel which was good and varied. We ate in the bar area although a nice brealfast room is also available on the lower floor.
We were disappointed to find the bar was not open at any other time dispite the web site stating it was once agin open.

Dear Salan, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our location. We consider ourselves lucky to be situated in the heart of the charming 5th Arrondissement, right next to the Luxembourg Garden. We regret to hear about the behavior of one of our reception staff members. Providing exceptional customer service is of utmost importance to us, and we will address this matter internally to ensure all our employees uphold our standards of professionalism and friendliness. Indeed, as specified online in our website, our bar is only open during breakfast. We had to close it due to the COVID-19 situation, and we are currently searching for a professional bartender to craft wonderful cocktails for you. Unfortunately, it has been complicated to find one. We hope to be able to reopen our cocktail bar very soon. Thank you once again for sharing your feedback. We always aim to enhance our services and appreciate your valuable input. Should you decide to visit us again, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your preferences and find accommodations that better align with your expectations. Regards, André Latin team***

Hotel Andre Latin is a really cute place to stay and clean, which is most important. Half of the staff were friendly and kind, while the other half clearly did not want to have to deal with customers (and shouldn't, if they can only offer a sullen, bare-minimum experience to customers).
Worst of all was that the shower in the room didn't drain and therefore my entire bathroom and half the room itself - including all luggage on the floor - got flooded. I asked multiple members of the staff multiple times over the course of my stay to have the shower fixed, and each time they agreed, but it was never fixed. I spent 4 days in Paris without a shower.

Regarding the issue you experienced with your shower (which was functional throughout your stay, however), it has indeed cast a shadow over your experience. There were misunderstandings within the team, and I am sorry that we couldn't provide you with a prompt response and explanation. The flooding issue stemmed from a missing part that we were unable to purchase during your stay due to unavailability at our supplier stores. Thankfully, the problem has now been resolved. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you once again for sharing your feedback. We always aim to enhance our services and appreciate your valuable input. My sister, niece snd myself stayed here for a 2 night break in August. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from Jardin de Luxembourg and the Luxembourg RER station. It is in a quiet area of the city, normally occupied by university students. We had a double and twin room on third floor. The receptionists were helpful and our rooms were small but perfectly adequate. Tea and coffee making facilities were supplied in each room (although we did have to ask for milk each day). The rooms were very clean, Beds were extremely comfortable, air con was provided in the room and also shower gel snd soap. It was nice to be able to open the doors onto our Juliet Balcony. On our first night there was some noise from the room above but we still managed to get a good night of sleep. On our second night, it was much quieter. We chose not to have the hotel breakfast (€14) as there are many other places in Paris to try. Overall we are pleased that we chose the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Andre Latin for 7 nights. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and extremely accommodating. They had several employees that spoke fluent English, which was helpful. The (additional) breakfast was worth it and everything that was set out was fresh. The rooms are small for American taste but apparently in line with Paris. However, the a/c in the rooms worked great. Other reviews are accurate that you should bring your own toiletries (soap/shampoo). The location isn't close to a lot of things but not too far either - in Pairs you better be ready to walk or learn to take the Metro. Overall, I would give the hotel 3.5 out of 5 stars. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Dear Andrew, I'm delighted to hear that you had a pleasant week-long stay at Hotel André Latin. It's wonderful to know that you found the hotel clean and enjoyable, and that our staff was attentive and kind We are thrilled that you loved the room, although it is true that compared to rooms in the United States, our beautiful Haussmannian building poses some constraints! Regarding the amenities, although we already offer them, we are currently working on renewing and expanding our range to better satisfy our customers. This is our third time staying at the hotel and as always we were delighted with our stay. The hotel is located about 1min walk away from a tram station and less that 8 minute walk to Jardin du Luxembourg. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable double bed. The shower was strong and equipped with shampoo and shower gel. We also had a gorgeous balcony which was lovely to look out in the morning time. Overall, a fabulous stay and one we will recommend to anyone planning a trip to Paris.

Average. Good location, however too many negatives. The rooms are basic, beds are uncomfortable (just 2 singles pushed together with hard mattresses) and I’m not sure you can class the pillows as pillows. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every conversation / toilet flushing / shower. There was also building / maintainer work going on that we were not notified of prior to booking, which meant banging and drilling at 8am every morning which we’ll be making a complaint to easyJet about. Also, if you’re arriving early, there’s no early check in option and check in is at 2pm, there is also no where to get changed / freshen up before you check in so be mindful of this if you have a flight before arriving. They advised us that we have to return the key to our room every time we leave the hotel, very strange.
Overall, would not stay here again.

Dear Millie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay in our hotel. We are glad you enjoyed our location, but we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We are sorry to read you found our rooms basic, as they were recently renovated in a dandy retro style that is usually much appreciated by our guests, and the mattresses and pillows are currently been changed, to enhance our guests' comfort. We are surprised about your comment regarding the sometimes noisy construction work. Indeed, all our partners have been notified of the ongoing renovation work at the hotel to minimize any disruptions. As you did not book directly with the hotel, we are unable to verify why you were not informed. Furthermore, as a 3-star hotel, we can onlyoffer a limited range of services, and unfortunately, we do not have a designated room for early arrivals, or a changing/ dressing room. However, we do have a spacious restroom available for guests to freshen up before check-in at 2 PM. We understand this can be inconvenient, and we will work to communicate this more clearly in the future. Regarding our key return policy, this is in place to ensure the safety of our guests and to keep track of who is present in the hotel at all times. Thank you once again for your comments, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an improved experience. Best regards, Team André Latin***

Staff were really lovely - helpful with perfect english to balance out limited French. We were expecting our twin room to be small, and it was snug but had more storage space than we needed for a few days stay and a beautiful bathroom. Breakfast had a nice continental selection which was frequently replenished. Location was good (very near Emily in Paris' apartment) metro direct to and from Gard du Nord and Jardin Luxembourg (which is an amazing park) was 10 min walk, Notre Dame area was about 25 mins walk. There was plenty of shops and cafe's in the area too, and we always felt safe walking around.

We chose this hotel primarily for its location. And it was the right decision. The hotel is very close to the RER B Luxembourg (metro - electric train), from where you can go directly to two airports and the city center; with a convenient transfer you can go to Versailles, the Amusement Park. The Pantheon, the Luxembourg Gardens, many cafes (including Ladurée) are within walking distance. The hotel is in a quiet, safe area. The staff is friendly, ready to help. There is water and comfortable chairs at the reception. Our room on the 1st floor was not very large, but everything we needed was there! The bed was very comfortable, clean, soft, there was a lot of space in the shower, there was shampoo, gel, soap, etc. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked great. Tea (+ kettle) and coffee in the rooms. The breakfast was good, we did not go hungry! We are happy with the choice, we recommend it to everyone, we would stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is well located and the rooms are clean, although dated and poorly appointed. Contrary to what Booking.com advertises, the majority of rooms appear to have 3 beds. However, I advise you to avoid room 107 (which only has a double bed), as it is very noisy, opening directly onto the ground floor between the street and reception. Additionally, the night guard is not at all appropriate, responding to requests without turning off his phone, which certainly lasted more than 2 hours.
