I stayed here as I had a conference nearby. The bed was comfortable enough and noise levels were low. However, there was no breakfast included with the room and at 120 euros a night for a small pebble-dashed room, I wasn't greatly impressed. In summary, overpriced for what it is, and I'd advise either spending slightly more to get a...

Great little place in the lovely Latin Quarter which I found to be a vibrant area filled with locals going to the shops and bars and east access to local attractions such as the Botanic Gardens. I had one of the cheaper rooms and was on the top floor without any air con in the mid August heat! I was...

This hotel looked OK on the website when we booked it over the Internet, but the reality was "a little different"! The good points? Its convenient location and double glazing. Period! The bad points? The light bulb in the room needed replacing, the kind of thing management is supposed to be BEFORE the guests arrive, rather than have them flail...

This small hotel in the Latin Quarter is very well placed as far as shops, restaurants, walking and transport are concerned. It is well-managed, clean, comfortable and quiet. Metro Line 7 station (Censier Daubenton) is a few yards from the hotel and provides easy access to the greater Metro system. In addition there is a frequent bus service that stops...

We had three nights and it was convenient place to stay , close to many restaurants ,cafes and the Metro. There was a young Sri Lankan man working on the reception desk who was very helpful, friendly and polite. The room it self was just ok really, there was no English on the TV at all though, and the bathroom...

Four nights here for work. Everything very good indeed. Excellent room, excellent breakfast, excellent restaurants for lunchtime and evenings; I didn't bother going anywhere else to eat as there is a wide choice and everything I had was first-class. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, plunge pool were great additions that I hadn't expected but I used them before breakfast and after...

Wasn't expecting much due to the low price but the reception staff were miserable & you felt like an inconvenience when asking for help. Had to change rooms because of stains on sheets & holes in walls. 2nd room still small but better. Breakfast was minimal and although available until 10.30am, they pulled their face on reception when we arrive...

Clean, helpful staff, comfortable, free Wi-Fi, close to metro and still in a safe and nice neighbourhood to walk around at nigh and even for a good walk till Nortre Dame. Nothing more I can ask from a place which all I want from is what I wrote above.

We stayed here for 5 nights in Oct 2014. The reception staff we're friendly, helpful and spoke great English. The lift is tiny, JUST big enough for one person and one suitcase / two people no baggage! We never stopped in at any point for breakfast so can't comment. The room (No 35, I think) was minimal, comfortable double bed...

They do speak English in reception. Breakfast can be a bit tricky ;) We've stayed in room 55 (which was superior twin I believe) for three nights. There is small elevator in the building. Room and the bathroom aren't the biggest in size but everything seems to work and it's very clean (cleaned, bed done, fresh towels- all everyday!) Air-conditioning...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
