My husband and I stayed at the St. Pierre during the end of March/beginning of April 2007 and loved it. It was totally clean, completely quiet with the windows closed and in a perfect location. The reception was super friendly and helpful and our room was much bigger than I was expecting for a "budget" hotel in Europe. I would...

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this little gem of a hotel. If you want a 5 star hotel, stay elsewhere. This hotel offers value, not extravagance. If you get the right room, you have a large bathroom with a tub. Lots of closet space too. The staff is helpful, the location is outstanding, the...

The location of Hotel Saint Pierre is fabulous! We could basically touch the Sorbonne out of our window. Quite noisy on the second floor but we still slept perfectly with the window open. The front desk staff was extemely helpful and nice, always remembering our room number (you have to turn in the key when you leave) and greeting us...

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect for our outings, the staff friendly and very helpful. Their english was very good as our french was not! The rooms were small but efficently designed. They were very clean and tastefully decorated. And the rates were very reasonable for the location. We would definitely stay there again.

Great little hotel with the best location ever - so close to everything and I felt really safe at night (young female solo traveller) so much to see and do in this area. Rooms were very small but very clean. I would stay again for the price and plan on coming here again next year. If you want 5 star...

Great location in the Latin Quarter, 1 blk from the Sorbonne, 2 blks from the Cluny museum, 5blks from Notre Dame or the Pantheon. Affordable, helpful staff, clean. The only negative was size, the smallest elevator, shower, & room I've ever seen, but who goes to Paris to stay in the hotel.

This was the most horrible Hotel in my life. For the prize what was 85 euro you get nothing. No elevator, needed to walk up to the 6 floor, no breakfast room needed to eat in the lobby, double rooms are that small that is maximum for one person. Dirty, smelling, disgusting room. Receptionist are unfriendly, ugly, terrible people. When...

We stayed at the St. Pierre four nights, including the crazy night of the solstice when all of Paris was a live music venue. Quiet, clean, spacious for the price, and that hike up the stairs (elevator broken) justified pastry twice a day. But the best thing was the staff. British Air lost our luggage, and both the night and...

We spent about 8-9 nights at this hotel. Not the fanciest, but we had a small, clean room overlooking the old convent across the street. Location was great, close to everything or easy access to everything. St. Michel train station right around the corner so it wasn't hard to go anywhere. Cheap eats (baguette sandwiches, crepes, gyros) around every corner....

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
