Hotel is not very nice. Its location is great and that is about all! It's not very clean, flooring, walls window treatments are all very old and dirty. Staff not knowlegable about places and events around town. I had reserved and paid ahead for the...More
Hotel staff were very helpful. Everything was clean. Elevator is very small and slow so we used the stairs. Location was great for access to the Metro, shops, and restaurants. There is a small laundry one block away that did our laundry for a reasonable...More
Stayed here a couple of days ago.
It was the fourth or fifth stay over the last number of years.
It hasn't changed. The rooms are tiny, the furnishings are very tired, stairs carpets are well worn, but the place hasn't changed.
The breakfast is...More
Located just off the Place de la Madeleine and in the same road as many other hotels. Impressive looking wood panelled lobby and checked-in relatively quickly. Building is very old (1800s) and a very small lift can take you to your floor else take the...More
We enjoyed our staying at the Amarante Beau Manoir for three nights. The family room was just perfect and almost everything was in walking distance (if you enjoy walking!). The staff was professional and nice. The only thing that we were disappointed with was, when...More

This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This
neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.

Hey! First of all, let me just tell you that I was in a similar situation to you - my friend and I saved up for ages to go, we're both students too and this was our holiday before university so it was a big deal! But honestly, the hotel was nice! They might have given us a nicer room because we called Expedia and asked to change the booking (not possible - non refundable) - it was 512 if you want to ask for the same! But seriously, go for it, especially on that student budget - the location is great, you'll be out all the time and there's so much nearby. Even the area around the hotel is really safe at night too, it's full of posh shops. The only issue is that the AC doesn't work in the room so it's pretty stuffy if you don't open the window but apart from that it's fine! If you have any more questions, let me know :)
