Neighbourhood
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

We stayed for one night in a triple room, coming from Montparnasse station. The walk to hotel was not easy with luggage, otherwise the location is great, just few meters away from a metro station which takes you directly right in the middle of the tourist area. The room was

We had a lovely 3 night stay here, the staff were friendly and helped us with everything we needed, the patisserie next door is amazing for breakfast (she does like you to have a try at speaking French to her though, she's quite grumpy when people just talk to her in English, so

Had a super nice stay at the 55 Montparnasse. We booked the top floor terrace room (I think they had the only one) and it was great. It was a huge room especially since we were changing hotels from an IBIS hotel. The room had two twin beds (we put them together), awesome A/C

The hotel has a great breakfast room and the food is terrific. they will make you a pot of hot water if you want in the evening. They have coffee service but I did not use it. The coffee at breakfast was terrific. Keeping money in your luggage is not very smart and no hotel can guarantee you that it is safe. However, they will all hold your money at the front desk if you ask and you can get it when you pick up/drop off your key. I owned an inn and I can tell you that no innkeeper or hotelier can control what happens if you leave valuables in your room. You might have lost it somewhere else. They have no way of knowing if it was when you arrived at the hotel or when you left the airport.

hi how far is this hotel from Charles de gaulle airport in a taxi thanks
It takes almost an hour and will cost you between E60 and E80! Take the bus from the bus or the metro that goes to it. Less than $25 for bus and approximately $10 for the train

You can take the metro from the airport or train station to the Penerty stop and walk across the street and down 1/2 block to the hotel
