Just 2minutes walk to Pigalle metro station, located in the "real" Paris.. visited Paris and France since I was tiny and the staff at the hotel were the most helpful and friendliest people! If you are severly allergic to cats or dogs.. maybe miss this out, it's very very clean.. but there are a couple of cats and a dog... More

We were so lucky to find this place, after driving through the night from Calais to Paris we were desperate for a place to crash and wanted something like a hostel but with private rooms. Having been met at the front desk by the haughtiest and fluffiest cat in France we were given (by an actual person) a lovely room... More

We had to pay and extranight for canceled room. The cancellation was done in both english and in french. They accept only cash and no receipts are provided. Reservations and cancellations are done only by internet and the record is kept on random post it notes and printed papers. There are cats and dogs staying in the hotel. We got... More

Checked into twin single and went out for dinner. Returned to find a portable bead had been setup between the two singles to form one large bed and a complete stranger in it! Complained to hotel and they told us if we dont like it then to leave. Called their bluff and said ok! At this point we damanded a... More

I met up with some friends in Paris who had already booked a three-person room at this hotel. Since I was a fourth, I ended up getting a single room. The room was quite small and the shared w/c was down the hall... the shower was on another floor. I paid 40 euros a night for my accommodation which seems... More

When I was checking the Evil Manager Woman was rude and condescending to the mother and daughter before me. When I checked in she was rude and condescending to me too. No surprise. Her customer service skills were awful, she was rude and the hotel is terrible. The beds were tiny and broken down the breakfast was a joke and... More

The location is great - and that is why we chose the hotel but from then on everything else was so, so bad. The security borders on the unsafe and we had repeated attempts to get into our room. The room we were finally given (after being moved at their request) had mousetraps in it and smelt so dreadful, but... More

We stayed there for a week at the beginning of September and I must say it is a perfect place to stay in Paris. The price we payed was 21 euros (including 2 euro fee) per night. Hotel and rooms are rather small, that's true but I wanted to see Paris and Andre Gill was just the place to sleep.... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
