We had a weekend in Paris to watch the rugby 6 Nations. We very much liked this hotel. It's a very short walk from the Metro station. The staff are helpful. Our room, 604, and the public areas of the hotel are all very clean. You can hear the rumble of the Metro inside the room but we didn't find...

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with 3 adults. 1 single bed in a small jail cell sized room and a sofa bed that pulled out in the kitchen/lounge room. The linen was clean. However there were stains all over the carpet. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the sofa bed was somehow more comfortable than the single bed however...

Modest sized rooms at the low price makes this a reasonable place to stay. The area is unusual with many shops that are not open on Saturday (Sabbath) but open on Sunday. You need to walk a couple of blocks (not bad if it is not raining) to get to an open Natural food grocery store and another block for...

The place is unhygenic and smelly. There was plenty of fungus growing in my bathroom and the whole place has a very musty smell. The sink smells like sewage. On top, they don't clean your rooms if you stay longer than 3 nights. This includes fresh towels and toilet paper!!! Breakfast is laughably limited and runs out before the stated...

Very friendly staff. I stayed here for 10 days as my office is 5 mins from here however the hotel is very well connected by metro and tram. The stops for each of them is right under the hotel. Very safe place with restaurants exactly opposite the hotel. Hotel rooms are very well equipped with kitchen appliances. Only point to...

We stayed for 6 nights in October, it was a small space, but what more do you need when you are out sightseeing all day? It was clean, had necessary equipment in the kitchen and laundry facilities in the basement. It is set on the edge of one of the most beautiful modern parks, and has plenty of restaurants and...

Friendly and elegant staff, the location is cool near all markets and malls but the only bad thing about this hotel is the bed. It is a little bit small and the room is a little bit noisy because it's near a noisy street. The wifi is good and the room is clean.

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
