Easy to get to on the metro, Laumiere station, and lots of places to eat just outside the door. Basic rooms but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Helpful staff and useful phone/USB ports in reception, along with snack / drinks machines in case of next door supermarket is closed. Cracking buffet continental breakfast was very good value. We managed a day...

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights to explore Paris. We booked this hotel as we were on a budget and just wanted somewhere as a base. However, this hotel was exactly, if not more than what we were expecting. Very basic but kept clean and very good value for money! The continental breakfast is well worth the...

This is Ibis hotel but it is adjacent to real Ibis hotel. Hence it's name is Ibis Budget hotel. In comparison with Ibis Hotel my four night price was 100 euro cheaper, but without breakfast. In terms of location, it is great, but there was no telephone set inside room, which was little bit annoying. However, whenever we asked anything...

Very comfortable, near to 2 subway stations, clean, cheap. The room are a little tiny but it's ok for value, comfy beds and quiet. Breakfast was good, buffet with many options for 6€ and coffee staff was very friendly. We spend 3 nights there and was perfect for us.

beds seem ok, room dirty, bathroom door was dodgy, smells in the room, parking was an issue, staff seem not bothered, customer service needs to be improved. overall if you just want a place to stay for the night its fine, would not stay here longer than 2 nights.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights wih my wife. Very confortable, cheap, clean, and very close to the Metro station (Stalingrad or Laumiere). I used the car parking and the hotel didn't charge anything for this service.

I really like the location of this budget hotel which is just outside central Paris in the canal quarter. Staff were excellent and Marmaduke at breakfast was so friendly to my family as well as extremely hardworking. tips are - have lunch on the canal just across foot bridge behind hotel on Péniche Antipode - eat at Paname Brewhouse on...

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
