I've made it a practice whenever possible to go to hotels that claim to be 'Design Hotels'. In this case, there was not so much emphasis on design, but it was still quirky and pleasant. Excellent breakfasts. One downside was need to enter a different code for wifi each day. Most design hotels have worked out that they can just...

My husband and I visited Paris in October 2016 on our second trip to Paris and stayed at the Hotel Design Sorbonne for a week. This hotel is in an amazing location literally right at the Sorbonne and about 1 block from the Pantheon, so it's situated close to several metro lines, making it easy to make your way all...

The hotel is very well located, close to subway and RER stations and to taxi stands.Walking distance to the Pantheon, Boulevard Saint Germain and la Place de la Sorbonne. The staff is incredibly nice, polite and willing to help. The room was very clan and quiet.

My 20 year old daughter and I recently spent 4 nights at this hotel on our recent trip to Paris. The room and bath were small, as is typical in Paris, but was attractive and modern in design. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. My small complaint was that it was initially hard to adjust...

Room was modern and new decorated. There was a Mac desktop computer in the room with free WiFi. Staff was very helpful and smily. But if you are looking for spacious room, it is not for you, our room was around 14 square meter.

Had a comfortable stay, very friendly staff and the best part its closeness to the Metro stations Odeon and Cluny and the Luxembourg RER which connects directly to CDG airport. it is walking distance from Notre Dame and the Pantheon is a view from the room. Best is to take the either of the rooms on the sixth floor.

I like this small Parisien hotel. I have stayed there twice already. Excelent location, tipical small rooms, and elevator big enough to accomodate a suitcase and a faily big person...breakfast is nice, freshly squized orange juice and no decent coffee machine available in morning hours....very friendly staff and clean rooms. For a 2-3 days in Paris.. this is the place...

Only stayed here for one night but have zero complaints. Staff were kind enough to upgrade our room on arrival as the room we'd booked was not quite ready. Location is great, we arrived by Eurostar and the journey from Gare du Nord to the hotel was about 20 mins via the RER to Luxembourg station. The surrounding area to...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
