This hotel took my breath away on arrival. The entrance was beautiful and so was our room. Very elegant. We were warmly welcomed by the lady at front service. Our room was pretty and just the right size for 2 people with a comfy bed and large tv and a spa bath. The area was perfect for us, so many...

The place is well located to explore the center of Paris and what I believe is the best Paris has to offer. Well decorated and comfortable, the place is full of charm. The bed was very comfy and the room well equipped although a bit small. Breakfast was quite good and reasonable in price. Recommended.

First and foremost, the staff were EXCELLENT! They really went above and beyond to help make our first trip to Paris memorable. The rooms are small but so well-appointed with very modern amenities that the size didn't matter in the least. The hotel is about 1 1/2 blocks from a metro stop (Saint Germain des Peres) so it was no...

Very friendly personell in this small, recently redecorated hotell at the left bank of Paris. The rooms are not spacious so "de lux" rooms are to be recommended.. Nice breakfast with fresh orange juice. Beds are ok however the pillows are typically French so if you want better pillows better bring your own. In all a very pleasant hotel and...

Myself and friend came over to Paris for a 3 night stay at the beginning on February. Good bits: Central location with plenty to see in walking distance from the hotel as well a short walk to the Metro. We bought a two day train ticket for €35 which meant we were able to travel to the outskirts of Paris...

We stayed at this little hotel for 3 nights and was able to leave our bags securely when we arrived early Saturday morning. This hotel is walking distance to the metro, Louvre, Museum d'Orsay, Seine, etc. It's on a relatively quiet street, we were placed on the second floor where you can hear some noise, but it wasn't bothersome. Room...

We have enjoyed this charming hotel, for many years now. We must give credit to the great upgrades in the recent year. The hotel was recently renovated, but they have gone further- better amenities, the Orange Vert Shampoo & Conditioner smell so good, cushy robes & slippers, wonderful linens and great showers/baths. The Breakfast Buffet gives you power for the...

This hotel is lovely. It's in a wonderful location just off the Boulevard Saint Germain but quiet, the reception staff are delightful, so helpful and friendly, and the room was awesome, super-clean and well-equipped with such a comfortable bed. Just wonderful.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
