We stayed at this little hotel for 3 nights and was able to leave our bags securely when we arrived early Saturday morning. This hotel is walking distance to the metro, Louvre, Museum d'Orsay, Seine, etc. It's on a relatively quiet street, we were placed on the second floor where you can hear some noise, but it wasn't bothersome. Room...

We have enjoyed this charming hotel, for many years now. We must give credit to the great upgrades in the recent year. The hotel was recently renovated, but they have gone further- better amenities, the Orange Vert Shampoo & Conditioner smell so good, cushy robes & slippers, wonderful linens and great showers/baths. The Breakfast Buffet gives you power for the...

This hotel is lovely. It's in a wonderful location just off the Boulevard Saint Germain but quiet, the reception staff are delightful, so helpful and friendly, and the room was awesome, super-clean and well-equipped with such a comfortable bed. Just wonderful.

A functional hotel with a courteous English speaking staff and all basic amenities. Central yet away from the hustle and bustle. Metro is within a five minute walk. Highly recommended! Saint Germain cafes in close proximity as well as Louvre.

My sister-in-law and I spent a wintry week at this hotel, an amazing little jewel on a pleasant little street on the west side of the St Germain district. The hotel is an easy walk to metro and a variety of shops, and a slightly longer walk to the river and sights. Our room was quiet, pretty and clean, and...

This is my second visit to this boutique hotel in the heart of st germaine des pres. It is now my preferred address when in paris. I have stayed in many hotels in the city and have seen general standards improve but the overriding feature is always small rooms unless you stay in the grand luxe establishments. Hotel academie is...

Located just a few blocks from the Seine, it's a 20-25 minute walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Les Marais, or a short walk to the Metro. The hotel style is a charming mélange of art deco and French country. There's a comfortable sitting room with a bar in which to relax after a long day sightseeing - and they're...

Ideal for our short stay in Paris. Boutique hotel - comfortable and well equipped room - small but ideal; clean and friendly hotel . The spa bath was relaxing especially after long day exploring. Metro around 5 mins walk and lots of sights and eating places in easy walking distance. Would recommend- loved it!

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel. Our room was small but beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The rainfall shower was amazing after a long days sightseeing. It is the perfect location for anyone who wants to spend their days seeing the sights of Paris. Only a couple of minutes walk to the river or the Metro station. Close to lots...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
