Brilliant hotel, would definitely recommend. Only 25-40 mins drive from both Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports, and three minutes away from a metro station so the location is perfect. Very nice, safe-feeling area, and near to a four-way crossroads, all of which are heavily populated with great restaurants! This didn't affect the noise level in the room either; there... More

First the good, this hotel is an absolutely lovely neighborhood. We didnt get to explore paris as much because we loved all the bars and cafes within walking distance of the hotel. The front desk staff were super nice and helpful. The rooms were decorated nicely. Now the bad, the rooms were very small. We were in a standard double,... More

This hotel was magnifique! The breakfast was amazing - chocolate croissants, hard boiled eggs, cheese, fruit....delicious! The room was wonderful, clean, and comfortable - and we were very near a metro stop. It was a wonderful neighborhood - within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. Our favorite restaurant (we went three times during our 10-day stay) was directly... More

Helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great choice of restaurants, cafes, and shopping in the area. The proximity to the metro is especially convenient. The staff at the front desk were always willing to provide directions and assistance. Felt a little bit peripheral to the city's major attractions, but this was partially compensated for by the feeling of safety in... More

I stayed at the Hotel Le Royal for 6 days and could not have been more pleased. Upon arrival at 9:00 a.m. I was greeted by Eric and Cerisa who gave me the great news that they already had a room for us despite the 2:00 check in and that we were upgraded to a delux room. The room is... More

My husband surprised me with a trip to Paris and stayed at this hotel through Cresta Holidays, although the hotel was excellent our room was not very good. It was extremely small I am sure it was a single as everything was catered for one person, very small bed the tiniest of wardrobe no drawers had to move things around... More

Really very pleasantly surprised! On arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was remarkably spacious for Paris!! Left Bank location home to writers such as Hemmingway... Very bohemian! Free Nespresso coffee in reception... Lots of restaurants near by. Great. C'est la vie.....

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
