About
Hotel du Levant in Paris... The finer things in life!
Step into the atmosphere of Hotel du Levant, Rue de la Harpe on the Left Bank, and open the colourful pages of the history of Paris!
In the heart of Paris' lively, picturesque 5th arrondissement of Paris, the hotel is a blend of charm, authenticity, nostalgia and modernity.
Elegance, thoughtfulness, comfort and style, the motto of our guest establishment ever at our service with its cosy rooms "a la Parisienne" is the best way for your walking discovery tours of the most beautiful jewels of the Capital: Notre-Dame and Ile de la Cite, the banks of the Seine and its bookstalls, Boulevards Saint Germain and Saint-Michel, the Conciergerie, Sainte-Chapelle and so much more.
Ideally located on the Left Bank, our 3-star hotel is a haven of peace in the hubbub of Parisian life.We do have a 3 guests bedroom available especially designed with handicap amenities. Because the Hotel du Levant is an old haussmanian construction, regular wheelchairs do not fit in. This is why we provide to our handicap guests a specific wheelchair, which fits in our elevator, to circulate in our hotel. We also provide storage of your personal wheelchair during your stay at the Hotel.

Very spacious single room for Parisian standards and very clean, even though it was on the fifth floor it could be reached by lift.
Excellent breakfast included in a decidedly competitive price, I feared it was too good to be true, but the Hotel du Levant met my high expectations and gave me even more. The reception (divinely furnished) is open 24 hours a day, and all the staff, including cooking and room cleaning, are truly helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended hotel, I hope to be able to return soon.

We loved our stay.
The hotel is in an amazing location, a beautiful, quaint cobblestone neighbourhood with lots of very reasonably priced restaurants in the neighbourhood.
The hotel is 2 minutes walk to two metro stations and 5 minutes walk to Notre Dame.
Our room (a premium double) was spacious and well fitted out.
Breakfast is continental with the best of ingredients.
The standard of service (reception, room servicing and replenishing breakfast) is faultless.
The only thing you need to be aware of is the lift is small (retrofitted into old building). It take two people or one person plus a suitcase so if you're claustrophobic maybe not the place for you. Other than that Hotel du Levant is the perfect place for a visitor to Paris to stay.

All this for a price which remains very reasonable considering the situation.
I recommend even if you would like to keep this beautiful address for yourself!

If you can accept a very small single room, you won't find a better place at 89€ incl. this breakfast - only 3 minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame.
The single rooms face the interior courtyard, i.e. they are completely quiet at night. Great water pressure, thick towels, all toiletries etc. Airconditioning, minibar and wifi.
The bed is wide (approx 110 cm), firm mattress. Ample cupboard for clothes, with deep shelves and hangers.
There is a safe in the cupboard for valuables. I haven't tried it, though.
Nice cleaning every day. Polite, friendly staff. Monsieur LĂ©o, the reception manager, runs a very tight ship here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the larger rooms face Rue de la Harpe, infamously known as one of the top 10 most awful tourist alleys in the city 🤮 I suspect those rooms can be a challenge due to the all night street noise. Perhaps they are sound proof, but then you might risk cooking odeurs from gyros, raclettes etc.
Hotel du LĂ©vant is a surprisingly pristine gem in the middle of this morass of unsavoury gyros joints and 'Pirate Candy' vendors.
I will gladly stay here again.

Breakfast was simply but just perfect to start your day- don't expect bacon and scramble eggs- you are in Paris, so enjoy the bread !
The weather was lovely during our stay- did not need air con- we had windows wide open all the time we were in.
Note- there is a street cleaning from 6am every morning, which was not bothering us at all ,but can be something to think in advance.
The staff is very nice and helpful. We had an amazing time and we defo will be back to Paris. Hotel Du Levant is a great accommodation - really recommend it :)
