Hotel du Levant in Paris... The finer things in life!

Step into the atmosphere of Hotel du Levant, Rue de la Harpe on the Left Bank, and open the colourful pages of the history of Paris!

In the heart of Paris' lively, picturesque 5th arrondissement of Paris, the hotel is a blend of charm, authenticity, nostalgia and modernity.

Elegance, thoughtfulness, comfort and style, the motto of our guest establishment ever at our service with its cosy rooms "a la Parisienne" is the best way for your walking discovery tours of the most beautiful jewels of the Capital: Notre-Dame and Ile de la Cite, the banks of the Seine and its bookstalls, Boulevards Saint Germain and Saint-Michel, the Conciergerie, Sainte-Chapelle and so much more.

Ideally located on the Left Bank, our 3-star hotel is a haven of peace in the hubbub of Parisian life.We do have a 3 guests bedroom available especially designed with handicap amenities. Because the Hotel du Levant is an old haussmanian construction, regular wheelchairs do not fit in. This is why we provide to our handicap guests a specific wheelchair, which fits in our elevator, to circulate in our hotel. We also provide storage of your personal wheelchair during your stay at the Hotel.

Very central location, which allows you to move around many of the city's main attractions on foot, and with lots of restaurants and services right in front of the hotel, but also incredibly well connected with transport to the airports or more distant neighbourhoods.
Very spacious single room for Parisian standards and very clean, even though it was on the fifth floor it could be reached by lift.
Excellent breakfast included in a decidedly competitive price, I feared it was too good to be true, but the Hotel du Levant met my high expectations and gave me even more. The reception (divinely furnished) is open 24 hours a day, and all the staff, including cooking and room cleaning, are truly helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended hotel, I hope to be able to return soon.

I spent three nights at the Hotel du Levant at the beginning of a six week trip around France and Spain last spring and it was the perfect way to start my trip. I was greeted warmly at reception and my small but very cozy single room on an upper floor was quiet and comfortable. Not much by way of luxuries but everything was very clean and I had everything I needed for a restful night's sleep after very full days of exploring Paris, The breakfast in particular was amazing - one of the best I've had in any hotel anywhere, and the fact that it's included in the very reasonable room rate was a nice surprise. Already looking forward to my next trip to Paris and staying at the Hotel du Levant!

Our first time in Paris and out of many hotels we went with this gem. This is a family ran 60 room hotel so the level of standards are higher than a big chain. The staff are friendly and very helpful, sadly travel strikes were on but they gave us tips and a map to get around. I want to mention Leo on reception, upon arrival and up to check out he was the best member of staff and I’d like to thank him for helping us during our stay, on check in and we was able to check in early and Leo upgraded our room for free, he’s a real asset to the team. The hotel has a nice cosy feel hand nice finishing touches in the room and also lobby areas. The lift was very small and can only fit one person in however taking the stairs was the better option due to the stain glass windows on the way up and the decor. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast, Buffett with cereals, fruits, meats, pastries, do your own eggs, toast, breads and more, we had this each morning to get us started for the day. The location of the hotel is ideal, it’s around a 1 minute walk to the nearest metro and bus stops and around the corner from the river and Notre Damne, you also have restaurants on your doorstep due to it being in the Latin district. Our room was comfortable and clean and a balcony and nice decor in the room and it was quiet at night time. The cleaners came into our room each day to make our bed and cleaned the bathroom and took used towels away. Overall I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and I would happily return in a heartbeat, I look forward to staying here again!

We stayed at Hotel du Levant for the duration of the Olympics (16 days).

We loved our stay.

The hotel is in an amazing location, a beautiful, quaint cobblestone neighbourhood with lots of very reasonably priced restaurants in the neighbourhood.

The hotel is 2 minutes walk to two metro stations and 5 minutes walk to Notre Dame.

Our room (a premium double) was spacious and well fitted out.

Breakfast is continental with the best of ingredients.

The standard of service (reception, room servicing and replenishing breakfast) is faultless.

The only thing you need to be aware of is the lift is small (retrofitted into old building). It take two people or one person plus a suitcase so if you're claustrophobic maybe not the place for you. Other than that Hotel du Levant is the perfect place for a visitor to Paris to stay.

This is the third time we've stayed at the Hotel du Levant. It is located in a very convenient (albeit touristy) area and provides guests with a nice breakfast at a good price. Our room, which was on the 5th floor facing the Rue de la Harpe, was quiet when we shut the windows and drew the drapes. We had no problems sleeping. The important thing to mention is how great the staff is. We had to make some changes and, to say the least, the staff was very accommodating. We really appreciated their willingness to help us. We will definitely stay there again.

Comfortable and quiet room overlooking the rear of the building. Bathroom not huge but well appointed. Very good breakfast, the room on the ground floor where it is served is not very large. Good welcome. The RER B station is just at the end of the street which proved practical that evening to return from the Stade de France.

A night spent in Paris in a professional setting. This hotel is really perfect, very well located, a very comfortable single room, very well equipped, soundproofed, quiet. The breakfast is excellent, fresh bread and croissants, beillevaire butter, fruit, cheese.
All this for a price which remains very reasonable considering the situation.
I recommend even if you would like to keep this beautiful address for yourself!

Breakfast at Hotel du LĂ©vant. Such a pleasant surprise: the freshest bread and pastries, boil-it-yourself egg 'tank' , ham, cheeses, fruit, juice, youghurt, cereals. Great filter coffee. Plus a sweet, attentive girl serving the breakfast room.

If you can accept a very small single room, you won't find a better place at 89€ incl. this breakfast - only 3 minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame.

The single rooms face the interior courtyard, i.e. they are completely quiet at night. Great water pressure, thick towels, all toiletries etc. Airconditioning, minibar and wifi.
The bed is wide (approx 110 cm), firm mattress. Ample cupboard for clothes, with deep shelves and hangers.
There is a safe in the cupboard for valuables. I haven't tried it, though.

Nice cleaning every day. Polite, friendly staff. Monsieur LĂ©o, the reception manager, runs a very tight ship here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the larger rooms face Rue de la Harpe, infamously known as one of the top 10 most awful tourist alleys in the city 🤮 I suspect those rooms can be a challenge due to the all night street noise. Perhaps they are sound proof, but then you might risk cooking odeurs from gyros, raclettes etc.

Hotel du LĂ©vant is a surprisingly pristine gem in the middle of this morass of unsavoury gyros joints and 'Pirate Candy' vendors.
I will gladly stay here again.

Fantastic little hotel , perfect location-walking distance from most of the attractions. We had superior double room 44- on the 5th floor. The room and the bathroom very clean, enough space to move around and the cupboards to keep your clothes. There is a kettle, tea, coffees and the minibar with some water, beer and some alcohol ( paid for-f.eg small bottle of water- 3 euros).
Breakfast was simply but just perfect to start your day- don't expect bacon and scramble eggs- you are in Paris, so enjoy the bread !
The weather was lovely during our stay- did not need air con- we had windows wide open all the time we were in.
Note- there is a street cleaning from 6am every morning, which was not bothering us at all ,but can be something to think in advance.
The staff is very nice and helpful. We had an amazing time and we defo will be back to Paris. Hotel Du Levant is a great accommodation - really recommend it :)

Room was comfortable, air conditioning worked well and even though we were on a noisy street, we were not disturbed. As in other old buildings, the bathroom was quite cramped but not unexpected. The hotel is in a very convenient location to get to most Paris attractions easily by walking or availability of Metro & RER stations. The breakfast was good and the price was reasonable.

We did not have tea or coffee in the room so I don't know if they had sugar substitute and creamers or not. I believe they had sugar substitute downstairs at breakfast in packets on the tables. Cream was in a pitcher.
