As I write this, I am at the Nadaud Hotel for the last night of a 14 night stay. We were so lucky to find this gem only 3 days before we arrived. Nadaud Hotel is not fancy, but it is super clean, super friendly, and in a super location. It has limited amenities, but the quality and service is...

This hotel is friendly, clean and has extremely comfortable beds! The shower in my room was great and from the upper floors there are great views towards the city. The metro is 1 minutes walk (Gambetta) so very handy for connections, there is also the bus 69 taking you down to the Eifel Tower via the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay....

I took the wife away as a surprise trip for her birthday. Money was pretty tight but i wanted a reasonable hotel. I checked TA and saw the Nadaud. It was well priced but there were things i wanted to double check. However the website appeared to only be in French. This wasn't a biggie, but it would have helped...

We stayed here for 3 nights during our stay in Paris. It is a great value (cost to distance ratio). The hotel was easy to find as it's very close to the subway stations and a city bus route. The hotel was clean and bed was comfy. Extra special shout out to the front desk staff - they helped out...

Loved this hotel - a real find. Near metro Gambetta and Pere Lachaise, with good connections (including a bus 5 mins walk away) to Gare Du Nord, if you are on Eurostar. Right next to the incredible Pere Lachaise cemetery (more like a small walled ghost town, actually). Very clean, modern inside, quite side street. Helpful staff who speak English....

Stayed here with a friend for 2 nights, we were given a nice clean room with a nice view outside. Had no trouble at all with anything, the only faults I can think of was that the shower was not very powerful and the same goes with the hairdryer. The staff were very nice and helpful and gave us directions...

The room is not that big but its very lovely and clean -the important issue. Its actually higher than my expectation because the photo displayed is realistic. The staffs speak english and very kind. Near metro, easy to transpost. Highly recommend.

Room was not so big, but everything was clean and fresh. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. Neighborhood is very nice and safe, which is very important nowdays in Paris. It's close to metro station and there is also bus stop with bus that goes through city center and has last stop near Eiffel Tower! It was even better way...

This hotel was great. It was clean, the staff were always available and very helpful. The location was awesome, less than 5 minutes walk to Pere lachaise cemetery and right next to a metro station that takes about ten minutes or less to get you down to notre dame, louvre, etc. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large....

This hotel was perfect for our tourism trip. Very close to the subway station Gambetta (less the 1 minute walking), and also very easy to go other lines (2 stations to Republique Station). The view from our room was perfect! The neighborhood is in a little bit higher position in Paris, so it is possible to see a great view...

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
