Near the Champs-Elysées in the 17th district of Paris, Princess Caroline hotel offers you a warm welcome. Our 3-star hotel took its name from Napoleon's sister, Caroline Bonaparte, wife of Joachim Murat. From this imperial history, our hotel has retained a certain idea of the French art of living combined with an elegant and refined atmosphere. As a romantic hotel in the heart of Paris, the Princess Caroline provides the promise of an exceptional stay. Our hotel offers 53 air-conditioned rooms both cosy, quiet and very comfortable. Most of them offer views on the rue Troyon. Rooms on the 7th and last floor look out on the rooftops. The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées are just a few stemps away...

We spent two nights at this hotel. Arrived well before check in at 10 am and the receptionist was friendly and helpful - we were able to leave our bags in locked storage whilst we explored the city.

The hotel is in an excellent location - right next to l’arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees.

Upon check in we had been upgraded to a junior suite which was beautifully decorated and although a little old fashioned in the bathroom, everything worked well and was very clean.

We had breakfast as part of our stay, which was a good selection. Cereal, toast, pastries, multiple cheeses and conserves, smoked salmon and fruit. Alongside this there was scrambled eggs and bacon - and on one of the days crepes.

The rooms were warm and beds were comfortable with additional pillows and blankets provided.

All staff we encountered were friendly, particularly the ladies in reception.

We would certainly stay here again if visiting Paris.

Thank you for your hospitality!

Great location, semi-quiet rooms and perfect for starting your excursions through Paris. The hotel staff were courteous and willing to please. The hotel does offer a continental breakfast but at a €15 (est $15) daily charge. The room (mini suite) was spacious and in great condition however ours did not come with a refrigerator and doesn't have an iron /ironing board. They have an iron downstairs for everyone to use, which looks weird when you see a line of people waiting to use it. Would stay again but only under assurance there will be a refrigerator, iron and possible microwave. Currently there is Construction on a building directly across the street that began at 8am everyday.

PROS:
Courteous staff
Clean rooms and lobby

CONS:
Community Iron and Iron Board
No refrigerator in some rooms
Thin walls (noise)
Construction on hotel across the street

Dear Sir, We thank you very much for your detailed review and the pictures that you posted. We are also pleased that your stay gave you a globally satisfaction. We do not provide iron in rooms, since our rooms have a carpeted floor. In the past we had damages due to lack of attention, but more important, in order to guaranty the security in the property. Regarding your other comments, we take good notes of your expectations. As we always work on improving our services and facilities, your comment is very important to us and get the most attention. With our warmest regards.

We stayed here for the last two nights in France and loved it. It is located on a quiet street that intersects with Avenue de Wagram, just a couple of blocks from the Arc de Triomphe and the L'Etoile / Charles de Gaulle metro stop on the yellow line, #1. The location makes it ideal for taking the metro all over Paris.

Our room was small but provided a quiet, safe, spotless, convenient, comfortable haven for both nights we were there. The mattress was on the firmer side, as is the custom in Europe, but comfortable. All the bedding was in pristine condition and looked, felt, and smelled clean. The bathroom was also well-maintained and immaculate, with plenty of hot water in the shower and good water pressure. The elevator is small (3 people) but we never had to wait long for it.

Every employee we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast included cereals, breads and pastries, yogurts, and the coffee was from a machine but good. Although it's possible to pick up one croissant and a café au lait at a boulangerie, if you added the costs of a larger breakfast, the hotel option is better and less expensive.

If you want a hotel that is quiet, clean, conveniently located, safe, comfortable, with friendly staff and a good breakfast, this hotel should be one you consider.

Stayed for one night and were upgraded to a ‘romantic room’ which was huge!
The room was lovely - it was courtyard facing which meant it was nice and quiet although a little dark.
The bathroom was also spacious but a little tired and dated.
The location of the hotel was perfect - literally steps from the metro/RER station and the Arc De Triomphe. Also only a few minutes walk to Champs Elysses. Lots of cafes etc really nearby too.
The man on reception was really friendly.
It was very handy to be able to leave our luggage in a secure luggage room for the day after we had checked out.
Really impressed for the price we paid.

Stayed here for a long weekend.

Hotel is an honest 3 star establishment. Room was comfortable and clean, with comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. Air conditioning in the room we had was fantastic, being quiet, and certainly kept us very cool, better than most comparable hotels.

Bathroom is a little compact, but again decent enought with a shower that doesn’t make the floor all wet, and good towels.

Breakfast might be a bit if a weak point, but far from the worst we have had.
Staff were bright and helpful.

Probably the biggest stand out of this hotel is the combination of value and its superb position. Two mins from the Arc de triomphe and the metro station, giving excellent links to the whole city. There were also pleny of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance, and the shops of the champs elysees just a stones throw away if your credit card is feeling like a little flexing!

Fantastic location in the Arc de Triomphe/ Champs Elysee area. We paid a flat fee €70 for a taxi (6 adults) from the CDG airport: 35-40 mins ride to the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly, we were in our room after paying the €4 tax.

Typical European boutique hotel: small elevator that only fits 2 adults + 2 luggage, small room with closet, Tv, dresser, safe, tea kettle, no AC. Wifi is included, fast and steady. Love the strong shower pressure! Didn’t have breakfast there as there are a ton of cafes, shops, restaurants around. McDonald’s is across the street. We took a €12 Uber to the Seine boat tour from here…

Brilliant small hotel. Very clean. We arrived just after 10am and got our room which was great. Room spacious, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities. Fresh towels daily. Staff lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was Buffett style from fresh fruit juice, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, cereal, croissants great value €15 each. Hotel is literally 2 minutes walk to subway. Line 6 takes you directly to Eiffel Tower Seine cruise, 5 stops away. Take Line 1 direct to the Louvre again 5 stops away. 2minute walk to Arc De Triomphe. So central and less than 10 minutes to Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Plenty of restaurants and cafes round about hotel. Highly recommended. Luggage room available.

I was looking forward to stay in this hotel as it has garnered a good review on Lonely Planet. I stayed 1 night on 31 May. I was grateful I could get view of Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe from hotel room. Room size was great - not tiny like most hotel rooms. However, it meant I had to stay in highest floor which could only be assessed via spiral staircase. There was no porter in hotel so I had to manage going about that with my heavy luggage. The weather was chilly in the night and there was no additional blanket in the closet so despite me wearing Heattech top and bottom, I was freezing cold I could not sleep at all despite switching off aircon and closing all the windows! It was as if there were holes in the walls and roofs! I have given same feedback to hotel staff and gathered from her there was centralized temperature control over the rooms where heater could not be switched on as it's supposed to be summer now. Hence not a good stay for me.

Dear Madam, We thank you for taking the time to post a review. We regret that your stay did not give your the satisfaction expected. With all due respect, you were the only customer to complain about the temperature. In the sens that in on may the 31st, the heater system will not be turned on, for an obvious reason. Any person has a unique sensitivity regarding the weather. However, without exageration, the whole property has double glass windows and is indeed insulated. Of course we understand that you may be used to more warmth, we do not discuss your personal habits. It is also a pity that you had such a bad night, since we have plenty of blanket, that we can give you any time 24/7, just calling the reception. Once again, we regret that your stay did not give you the good experience you deserved. Best regards, Hotel Princesse Caroline.

The room my wife and I stayed in was quite small and would only accommodate two people. You should check directly with the hotel to see if they have larger rooms that would accommodate three people.
