Where do I start?! There’s just too much to say. Even my husband, who does not either write or read reviews, said on our last day, “I sure hope you’re going to write this one up…” I really wanted to like this hotel. But the staff did their best to make sure I could not. As I am a “glass... More

Decent hotel, OK service, but great location. Metro/railway stations have almost direct access to the whole of the city, as well as CDG. With the bonus of being next to the Louvre, Notre Dame and Cite. Great place to base yourself. As we only spent a few hours sleeping there, the location was the most important thing.

A great hotel, rooms were smaller than I imagined but bed was big and comfortable. Reception was a bit upside down due to being renovated but it has to be done at some point I suppose. It was very hot in Paris when we stayed and the air con was brilliant super cool and quite as a mouse so didn't... More

Location was perfect, a block away from two entrances to Chatelet Metro and RER stops -- very easy getting to and from CDG Airport as well as several Metro and bus lines -- and very near the great restaurant and shops neighborhood along Rue St. Honore. The general cleanliness and comfort of the place and furnishings was good (with one... More

We booked this hotel for the excellent location in Paris. A 2 minute walk to Chatelet Metro station, and 5 minutes or so to Notre Dame. If you are taking the train from the CDG airport, the walk is around 5 minutes from the Chatelet Les Halles RER station. The hotel itself was undergoing some construction at the time, but... More

Lovely modern room and very friendly staff. Just what we expected based on past positive reviews. Only downside was construction on the main level and lobby area. This was our first visit to Paris. The location of this hotel was convenient to the Metro, and walking distance from Notre Dame and Louvre. Would stay here again.

Did I mention location? The Hotel Louvre Rivoli is perfectly located in the trendy Marais area and within walking distance to the Louvre and right next to a Metro station. Restaurants are all around so there are plenty of options to select from and the shopping in Marais is brilliant. The hotel lobby was undergoing renovation so hopefully it will... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Located in ideal location for transport as just a very short distance from Chatelet metro station. Notre dame and the louvre are only a short 5/10min walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is undergoing some renovation work on the ground floor/ lobby area, but this had minimal impact on our stay. The welcome was warm... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
