We booked the hotel Alma for our honeymoon trip to Paris at the start of October. We had read the reviews on trip advisor so knew what to expect.
It's in a great location and is only a 5 minute walk for the Eiffel Tower...More
Stayed 4 nights and apart from location I can't really think of much positive to say!
It's a basic 1/2 star hotel. Nothing terribly bad but not worth the 500 to stay 4 nights. It should be 75 a night.
The area however is perfect....More

We had a really wonderful stay at this hotel for 4 days and nights. We went by the Trip Advisor reviews and also wanting to stay somewhere nearest to the E. Tower which we found via Google Earth / Street! The location is simply perfect....More
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and
politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.

The shuttle service is not the actual hotels, it is outsourced. I would recommend making arrangements with a shuttle service independently or taking the metro. The public transportation in Paris is amazingly easy to use, and there are attendants at every station that speak english and can help you with the right train selection.
