In a reasonable area in the 5bis. The room was small , but adequate for our needs. The house staff cleaned our room daily, and very well. However, the facilities were poor. The desk staff (only one at any one time) were largely disinterested, and reluctant to give the usual advice hotel staff should offer. The lights on one side...

Comfy, beautiful bedrooms, friendly staff, close to tourist attractions, and right on a promenade of tasty restaurants. Wifi available everywhere. No parking, which is a con, but there is a car park close by for a fee. Nothing else to say other than wonderful!!

We checked in for the second leg of out honeymoon and the staff was rude from the start. We weren't given any information about breakfast (times, location) and we only got 1 key. We asked the desk clerk for ice and he said he's look into it. It's now been 3 days... When we finally figured out breakfast (continental) we...

the hotel was very clean, room was nicely equipped and great shower, though the room was bit small, but this is the case for almost all parisian hotels. hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Metro station is 2 minutes away. defentily recommend it if you don't mind staying a bit off center

Hotel Devillas presents good value, clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Good location, easy to get to and easy to get around from. Travelling on a honeymoon during late march. Would definitely stay again.

I had seen some average reviews of this hotel but stayed due to location of gare d'austerlitz. We arrived late from the airport and although our room was booked well in advance, we were given 2 standard non connecting rooms across the hall from each other ( we had paid for executive connecting). On discussion with desk staff the hotel...

My husband a I, stayed at this hotel, it was in good location right near the metro. The hotel staff at reception were very quite, and didn't offer upgraded room or if we would like breakfast, to be honest we were unaware they did breakfast until we were coming home. Good clean rooms nice bathrooms, recently been re furnished. We...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as we were on our way to the south for a cruise on the Canal du Midi. This hotel is perfectly situated, as it is easily reachable from both CDG and Orly. It is about halfway between Saint Marcel Metro station (100m) on line 5 from Gare du Nord and Gare d'Austerlitz...

Stayed for just one night as we had to catch a train from Gare Austerlitz nearby. Easy to get to from CDG airport as Metro Saint Marcel on line 5 through Gare du Nord is very close. Enjoyed exploring the area nearby - Jardins de Plantes, Luxembourg Gardens, Parthenon. Good selection of cafes nearby, but would avoid the one closest...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
