This is a small 3* hotel 400m from Paris Austerlitz train station (if travelling south to the Dordogne, Toulouse etc) so was perfect for a 1 night stopover. Since we arrived mid-morning we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and go exploring before checking in later in the afternoon. Our room was on the ground floor facing...

When arrived hotel lobby was being renovated and smelt of paint. So got a bit of a shock. After going up a very small lift found the room was very nicely decorated and the hotel wifi useful. Had a balcony to look outside which was nice. The location is near some nice bars and restaurants all in walking distance. The...

Just back from a two night break in Paris and the hotel was just what we wanted. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable with good quality linen, the shower was excellent - that's all I ask. Close to two Metro stations - Saint Marcel and Austerlitz, making it very convenient. Nice little bar next door and several more...

A simple and small hotel that's an easy, direct, metro ride from the Gare du Nord if arriving by Eurostar with the hotel itself is about two minutes walk from the Saint-Marcel station. We arrived a little bit early for check-in, and were promptly told so upon arrival, but the hotel was happy to stow our bags securely so we...

We thought it was gonna be a great place, but they never clean our rooms and the breakfast is expensive and not so good...the service is terrible, the only 2 good things are; the location, and The rooms, which are small but nicely decorated, and with great lighting.

Receptionist tried charging us 600 instead of 400- luckily our card got declined otherwise this may have gone unnoticed! The air-con in our room dripped onto the floor- we got moved into another room promptly which was good. When we got back one evening the receptionist asked us if we knew a man as he had come to the hotel...

The location of the hotel is in the center of the city. Right opposite the metro station and walking distance from the Pantheon, all other monuments and sights are just a metro or a rail ride away.. The rooms are too tiny for even 2 people plus 2 bags! Higher floor rooms are good as you get a good view...

Firstly, there were ants. All around the floor. I first spotted it in the bathroom just as we got the room, and then in the bedroom. Luckily they weren't on the furniture (yet). A proper clean of the room was needed to get rid of them as there is never just one ant. The guy at reception didn't even seem...

The rooms and bath was sparkling clean and brand new! It was all white, so I loved it, the staff was quiet friendly, especially the guy who did evening shifts. There was construction going on close by so was a ill bit noisy, also it's right on the road, something I did not not like much. The downside I feel...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
