This historic building hides a very unique boutique hotel that offers comfort, funcionnality and character. The staff was the best I have ever experienced and spoke fluent English. They offered us a nice Lacroix keyring when they knew it's our honeymoon. We particularly loved the central location and free wifi. We had also drinks in the stylish bar which was...

After reading great reviews about this hotel on Trip Advisor and various other publications we had high expectations for Petit Moulin. Perhaps we got a dud room (402), being on the top (4th) floor it had very low ceilings (under the Mansard) and we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs as the elevator only services up...

This hotel was designed by Christian Lacroix, the quirky French fashion designer and each room is different. It is located in the amazing shopping district of Le Marais. From the outside is does not look like much, but inside it is stylish and has some of the features of the old mill it once was. We enjoyed its French style,...

Very charming boutique hotel in the Marais. Fantastic location. Many have written the same and have given the hotel very high marks. Where the hotel falls short for me is in the size of the rooms and the service at the front desk. We paid for a Superior room and it was unbelievably tiny. Way too small for the price(even...

The hotel was excellent, my husband and I wanted to stay in a boutique hotel when we visited Paris, and The Hotel du Petit Moulin was a great choice! The location was awesome, you could walk to many landmarks, and the neighborhood is filled with cafes, art shops/galleries, and cool shopping; as well as good street photo-ops. The staff was...

There are so many great little things that I'd love to write about this hotel. I hope I haven't forgot anything. First off, the location is brilliant, in a little side street, on the corner. What used to be a little boulangerie. The inside of the hotel is a bit indescribable. It's truly beautiful in it's own eclectic way. The...

Stayed in this hotel a month ago with my husband and another couple to celebrate a 40th birthday in Paris and we wanted to stay around le Marais and push the boat out. There's no disputing that the interior design of the Petit Moulin is impressive. The sweet reception converted from the very pretty boulangerie is fascinating and the individual...

The staff made us feel absolutely at home, the rooms were large, quite and beautifully decorated and the location is perfect for relaxing, shopping or as a base to launch an assault on the sites. All this combined to make us feel like we were experiencing Paris as locals, rather than being caught up in the tourist rush of a...

We were on business in London and hopped over to Paris for 36 hours. This was our first time in Paris, and though we wanted to hip all the major attractions, we did NOT want to stay in the middle of all the tourist attraction. The Marais district is one of the most charming neighborhoods in Paris, it's very much...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
