We just returned from a 5 night stay at the St Louis Bastille, which was also our first trip to Paris. The staff here were superb! Everyone was VERY helpful and pleasant. We e-mailed them in advance and their driver and van were waiting for us upon our arrival at CDG. (55 euro each way for 2 people) The staff...

I've been travelling to Paris a couple of times a year for the past 15 years or so, and I prefer to stay in the neighborhoods rather than in the heart of the city. The St Louis Bastille was in a fine location for me -- lots of nice shops (and pastries!) on the Rue Oberkampf, the Republique metro not...

My first trip to Paris - Couldn't have been a better experience that definitely gave me the incentive to return soon. Much of the good experience had to do with staying at the Hotel Saint-Louis Bastille. The hotel is located in a charming, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with easy access to the Metro which will take you anywhere in the city you...

We stayed at the Saint-Louis Bastille during Dec. The hotel is located about two blocks from the nearest Metro station. It was a wonderful place to retreat to at the end of long days spent touring and wandering through Paris. The rooms are very clean and tidy. While breakfast is not included in the room rate, it was convenient and...

Recently returned from a Paris trip and stayed at Saint Louis Bastille. Just average. The rooms were very clean and small as is the European norm, but nothing special about the location, breakfast or service. Perhaps it was because a lot of the restaurants were closed between Christmas and New Year's, but would probably NOT stay in this area again...

For persons looking for a small European feeling hotel in Paris, the Saint-Louise Bastille is an excellent choice. The hotel has been recently updated to a high degree. Bedrooms are nicely decorated with very comfortable beds and new marble bathrooms. For light sleepers in the big city the rooms on the back of the hotel are very quiet. The public...

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was very neat and clean, the bathroom was nice, and the staff was helpful. My English-speaking companion had no trouble communicating with anyone. The breakfast is basic but fine. The location in the northern 11th is very nice - definitely out of the way of the tourist traps but still...

Stayed at the Hotel Saint-Louis Bastille in October '05. €100 per night for a double room. Paris is notoriously difficult to find good 3 star accommodation. This hotel came recommended by my brother and I read the reviews here too. I found it to be perfect and far superior to the other pitiful Parisian 3 star hotels I've stayed in...

Great small hotel in a wonderful "real" Paris neighborhood. Recently renovated, helpful staff and the on premise breakfast is a bargain. You will not find a better hotel for the money. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was just nicely refurbished and located within easy stroll to a Metro stop. Walking distance to the Bastille and the Marais. The room I stayed in had stone floors, comfy bed and a nicely renovated bath with limestone floors and a great shower. Typically French decor plus there is a nice continental breakfast served in the typically French...
