My wife and I recently spent about ten days in Paris at the Villa des Princes hotel. It is a great location in the 6th, with close proximity to the Metro, many good restaurants, bakeries, and chocolate shops. The staff was very helpful & friendly. The croissants & baguettes every morning were delicious. Our room was small, but clean &...

Via Booking.com I searched for an good hotel with a good price. For € 71 it was a good deal. Room is tiny, but it's enough for only sleeping. The badroom is refurnished and is very nice. Good shower! Bed's are okay, but the can hear the neighbours to good. We didn't have had breakfast in the hotel, in the...

This hotel is lovely with friendly staff and a nice breakfast room. It is in a very good area. The rooms are small but very modern and very clean with a good bathroom. The bed was comfy too. The price is very reasonable for central Paris, but as I said the rooms are very small. The receptionist told us they...

This hotel was nice enough for a central Paris hotel, we stayed 3 nights, and it was comfortable and quiet. Room was on small side, but okay. We were on 4th floor and was glad for an elevator, though this was the smallest elevator I have ever seen, but fitted two people at a squeeze (or one person and one...

The front desk staff were the very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. The hotel was clean and quite but the rooms were very small and the closets were tiny (enough for one guest not two).

This is not a bad hotel but some things could be improved. There was a lot of mold in the shower grout but the room seemed otherwise clean. This hotel is the home of the world's smallest elevator! It BARELY held two people. I'm tall and she's short so she had to stand under my armpit and then we had...

This hotel is in a good location, right near metro stations, restaurants and in the heart of St Germain. Walking distance to Notre Dame and the river. Some nice little bars and restaurants a few doors along.I read that the rooms are small but I would have to say that our room was the smallest hotel room we have ever...

This hotel is in a good location in the Latin Quarter. Walkable to all the things we wanted to see - Lux Gardens, Notre Dame, St. Chappelle, D'Orsay, Tuilieries, Army Museum, Picasso Museum. There are lots of good restaurants near by and we had the best croissants in France at the restaurant nearby called Hicou. There is a Starbucks at...

Location isn't bad, we walked everywhere possible. Read that the rooms were small but didn't realise how small they were actually going to be! Bathroom is okay, just a sliding door to close as there isn't enough room for one to open and close. The lift again I read was small but didn't actually believe the size of it when...

Can't really fault location and value for money. Room is ok. Bathroom is fine. You are paying for a budget room and it's fine. Don't expect water /tea or coffee etc... The big problem is the air conditioning system that didn't really work and seemed to be centrally controlled from reception. So was too cold or too hot. And sleep...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
