Old fashioned hotel but very affordable. Very near the Metro Station and near the Montparnasse Tower. Staff and owner is very friendly. We left our luggage after check out because we want to go around before leaving Paris. We came back in the afternoon and got our bags. They were really helpful. I recommend this hotel

This is a very old-fashioned hotel, unrenovated, and while it is rather run down some may like it's vintage charm. Our room was in the attic and it was quite a haul to get our cases up the very tiny circular staircase. I felt safe here, it was clean, the beds were unexpectedly comfy, the wifi worked. The bathroom was,...

I kinda want to give this hotel better ratings then what I have due to the staff trying to please but knowing they won't see you again,The room was very small and smelly and I could stand outside the toilet and touch the back wall it's that small, also you cannot sit on the toilet and shut the door which annoyed...

Chose this Hotel for its price......as the saying goes "You get what you pay for" ! I really like the Left Bank and this place is really easy to get to and central. I should have known that there was a reason it was as cheap as it was. Oh well, live and learn!

Went there in july 2014. They didn't speak english in the lobby. Everything was old and rusted. The rooms were small and smelt bad. The bathroom was tiny. Location is pretty far from the city center. I understand that some of these negatives can be positives for some people that find it charming. At least it was cheap.

Stayed a night last week at the Hotel Stanislas with my wife. It is an amazingly unspoilt charming small family run hotel in a great part of Paris. Found it last year by accident as my daughter had had the tiny bar on the ground floor recommended as being atmospheric and frequented by locals. The hotel was a step back...

The staff are generally friendly. We stayed for 3 nights and for us the room whilst tiny was adequate for our purposes. The rooms WC, shower and sink area were very small and if you were a large person (as in overweight) you would struggle to shower and/or use WC with door able to close. Room floor was slanted and...

The hotel is old and needs a serious renovation. It is sort of dirty. There is no elevator. BUT the owner is a very nice and helpful man and the hotel location is simply great: it is in the Montparnasse neighborhood, very close to the metro stop Notre Dame des Champs and to many nice brasseries, creperies, bistros, and restaurants....

As it was Easter, hotel rooms were very expensive. So, i had to consider our budget and this suited ours. The room was okay. Not terrible, not great. Average i can say for the price we paid. Free wifi which worked very well. They gave us a room on the 4th floor and there's no lift. But the guy at...

It's not pretty and it is a bit worn around the edges but if you are planning on spending your time sightseeing and eating out then it has what you need. There was a good hot shower in the [very] small ensuite, clean towels and linen everyday and friendly helpful staff. It is in a great location for the metro...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
