We stayed here for five nights during our stay in Paris. The hotel is close to Jourdain metro station and a franprix supermarket and the neighbourhood is quiet at night. The room was modern and clean and was made up everyday. The staff were also very friendly. Would stay here again when in Paris.

We enjoyed our stay it's really close to the metro and there's a small cute bakery on your way to the metro to get some croissants or something. There's a pizza place near the bus stop and it was really cheap and delicious if you're on a budget i'd recommend it.

If you are lucky to get a room at 6th floor....please be patient. Nevertheless, the bath is the smallest I ever seen and the receptionist is quite basic, providing essentials info. We book 2 singles room, but we discovered that (like many hotels in paris) they do not have the lift. I was with my 60 years old uncle and...

I stayed here with a friend in Nov 14 for 3 days when holidaying through Paris, Bruges and Amsterdam. The location was ideal for accessing the metro which we used for the whole three days including getting to Disney land on the third. The area was not the best, there were a number of people hanging around the streets at...

So, for 50 euros a night you are not going to stay on the Ile St. Louis or in St. Germain! Paris is one of the most expensive places to stay in Europe, if not the world, when it comes to accommodation. Having said that, you can find reasonable places, if you are prepared to modify your expectations. With expectations...

Hotel was basically just a place for us to shower and sleep, so amenities not really important. Found it a little odd that no phone in the room, but wouldn't have even noticed if we hadn't had a reservation that needed confirming. Receptionist did allow me to use a phone at his desk, but made me seem as though I...

The hotel is located on a nice and quiet area. The price is good for the quality, you don't need much luxury when in Paris. The rooms are small, but clean. Anyway, they didn't change our towels or our bed sheets in our 4 days of staying there. Also, you can hear noises from the other rooms. In general, it's...

I found the area nice with shops and nice restaurants, the centre of Paris is 15 minutes away by metro. So the location is good. The problem was with the hotel itself. The guy in the reception is not very friendly, didn't even tried to help us feel welcomed. The room and the bathroom is tiny, but not a problem...

Chosen for reasonable price (with advance booking) and location close to friend's apartment. Aware already that room and bathroom would be small, but did not find this a problem, as we went out in the morning and came back just to sleep. Towels very small, but ours were changed daily, as were the sheets. Very cold spell when we were...

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.

“We were on 1st floor, with only one flight of stairs. Narrow staircase and six floors without lift, so the unfit with heavy luggage would have problems. We asked for adjoining rooms, so noise from neighbours not a problem (two rooms per floor?). Street noise not a problem.”
