I've been coming to the Villa Mazarin for several years and always, ALWAYS have a great stay. Americans will love this place - it contradicts every negative stereotype about France. The staff is always super nice and don't flip attitude if you don't speak French. They are happy to speak English. As the hotel is in the heart of the...

Just back from celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Hotel was in Fantastic location right across the river from notre Dame and literally 5 min walk from louvre and pompidou centre. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants near by so you don't have to go far at night time. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, room was nice, spacious, clean...

This small boutique hotel is a real find right in the heart of Le Marais. You can't beat the location in walking distance of the great cafes and boutiques of the neighborhood. Very close to a metro, right across the river from Notre Dam, etc. etc. The staff were so helpful to me, I consider them new friends in Paris....

Recently stayed here for first wedding anniversary. Hotel was easy to find, staff very friendly, room was gorgeous, quite specious with three big windows overlooking marais do was very airy and bright. Big comfy king bed, modern bathroom and spotless clean. All mod cons in room. The best thing was location, right across the river from notre Dame and literally...

I stayed one night here with a friend and would have stayed longer, but the hotel was completely sold out. I've stayed in many 3 star hotels in Paris, so I have a good idea of what to expect. I was impressed by the large size of our standard room and the elegant neo-imperial style furnishings which lent a real...

Our first trip to Paris for my wife's 60th birthday. The flowers I'd ordered were a good value and lasted the full 6 nights of our visit. Took the train in from the airport(probably not the best idea during early morning rush hour) and a 10 minute walk to to hotel. Room has very comfortable king bed, beach towel size...

The Villa Mazarin situated in the Marais area of Paris is a true find. Large rooms by Paris standards and a king size bed to make it a truly great find. The location makes walking almost everywhere very doable, and right in the area within a 1 block radius are many cafe's for a breakfast outside to watch Paris come...

I had booked an extra day in paris without a hotel - so this was a last minute find on booking.com - and what a find - amazing hotel, lovely rooms and service - right in the middle of the marias it was a great base to explore from as well as a brilliant room. The follow up service was...

Stayed at Villa Mazarin during mid August. Excellent hotel with great location and things to do around. The hotel staff for the most part extremely helpful and well informed. On all counts, would love to be back here and stay at the Marais. Only one thing to note though... DO NOT ask the hotel to get a taxi for you...

This hotel is really quite beatifully decorated with some nice French touches. Our room was a good size and very clean and it was well furnished. Breakfast at the hotel was nice, it was served in their small restuarant and it was very elegant with table service, on the first morning we thought we had the wrong room! It was...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
