This hotel is absolutely disgusting. I was shocked by the state of our room - it was way below even hostel standards. Stained headboards, cheap thin beds, dirty floor, dirty bathroom. It was hot with no air con but even with the window shut we could hear loud music and partying from the bar across the road. The photos on...

We recently stayed here for 2 nights as part of a European cities travelling trip, in which we used many budget hotels to rest. Unfortunately, this one was the worst. The beds are uncomfortable, the walls are covered in damp, the shower head was broken and the toilet was old and stained. The hotel is well located and does have...

Highly reccommend for anyone on a budget that wants a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Stayed here for two nights with a friend after doing much research on similar hostels. Appi was great, perfect location, close to the metro and friendly staff. If you have a problem with a shared bathroom it is not the place for you. Go...

The location is quite convenient. Metro 3 goes to the main bus station and St. Lazare train station. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the same street. The laundry is 5€ per a load and that sounds the best thing about this hotel. No supermarket in the close range. No lift and the stairs are small and old....

Cheap, Clean and comfortable.in a good location (centre of Paris) perfect for a couple nights stay on my own. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I was on top floor so lots of stairs to climb. Other than that a very enjoyable stay, I would stay again if I was passing through Paris again

Very well situated communication wise, but the area seems a bit dodgy. But if you spend all days touring around Paris it's a great place to stay. Mostly it's very clean and inexpensive. The downside is definetly the stairs - very narrow so you may have a problem with a bigger suitcase. There are a lot of restaurants and caffes...

This hotel is just around every corner of the landmarks you want to see when you're in Paris. You can just walk everywhere you go. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. The unfortunate thing that I encountered was I am on the 6th floor and there is no elevator in the building- so I have to drag my suitcase all...

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst travelling. Upon arrival of the hotel we got told someone else was staying in our room so got changed into a different room. The shower facility wasn't great and the area wasn't the safest area especially on the night however for a bed sit it was okay and was close to the train station...

No elevators, no lifts, no telephone, no service; shower and bath rooms were somewhere in between levels on stairwells; if your room is on a higher floor, 5th or 6th, you would have to carry over or drag your baggages all the way up on narrow stairs; hard to describe our feelings and nightmare; a shabby hotel in the heart...

Enjoyable stay for 2 nights. Area could be deemed as dodgy but there are a few good bars and as long as you keep your wits about you you'll be fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel stairs are in need of repair and the rooms are small but it suited us fine!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
