we stayed there for 2 nights. located only 5 min walk from metro, 5-10 min to montmartre. we got the room on 3rd floor, it was clean and cozy, but couldn't get any wifi signal. if you're gonna stay there, it's best if you don't bring big luggage cause the hotel got no elevator. the staffs were friendly and very...

My two daughters and I stayed for 5 nights in a triple room. The hotel room is clean, staff very friendly and helpful. A little disappointed that the room had no A/C, luckily the weather was not too hot and leaving the windows open was good enough. Without a lift it's a little tricky carrying bags up and down the...

After searching all websites we decided to book on Hotel Sofia, we read some reviews on the property and thought to be a good choice. but.. As we booked through web I put a note indicating we are a family of 4 and could you put an extra bed? no reply got into me, and when I arrived I understood...

Very clean inside, good continental breakfast. Located in a dangerous area(Algerian area), a lot of traffic, busy area not too quiet but closed to the metro station. Very friendly staff, helpful. Clean room, sheets, bathroom, hot water.

We got the suite on 3rd floor and with out a lift it was difficult to get the luggage up. But, the room was clean with clean sheets with change of towels every second day. The kitchenette was very handy for breakfast and other things as we had children. The bathroom smelt of sewage though and we had to leave...

The room was good sized, the design was cool with a modern vibe, especially the bathroom, and the shower was hot with decent pressure. The staff was pleasant, I didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on that. The only downside was I couldn't find any sort of thermostat/radiator, and to stay cool we had to sleep with the...

I prefer generally to stay over by Pere Lachaise when in Paris but my favorite hotel there wasn't available so I branched out. Hotel was fine, staff was fine. Breakfast - nothing outstanding but decent. The best part was how close to the metro this hotel was situated. I wouldn't not recommend this for a stay in Paris it's just...

I cannot give this Hotel any rating because it was SO BAD, stayed with my husband and another couple, we asked for an extra pillow and were told there were none, then the waiter pulled a round cushion from the lounge in the bar and gave it to me - it was filthy !! The breakfast was the usual, crusty...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
