I stayed for 10 days in the studio during a work trip to Paris this month with my friend. Working for a small charity means we've stayed in some pretty run-down places in the past so it was to our complete suprise, amazment and total joy to discover this lovely place tucked quietly down a cobbled street just moments from...

My friends and I have been staying at Loft Paris on several occasions, both during the summer and winter. It's been our favorite place to stay in Paris. We've stayed in both the studio and the duplex. The studio is great for 1-2 persons. You get a lot more room than if you're staying in a typical Paris hotel. But...

We stayed in the Suite at Loft Paris in May and were thrilled: it was comfortable, stylish, tranquil (given its location right by the Moulin Rouge) and, what's more, represented excellent value for money, especially when compared with what you would pay for a hotel of far lesser quality. Francois, the owner, was charming and helpful. We have stayed in...

This comfortable and charming apartment was ideal for my week-long stay in Paris. The Moulin Rouge could be seen from the window, the metro was a minute away, and the neighborhood is lively and engaging. It was on the quiet and small street in the centre of things. When you entered it all went silent and you felt closer to...

The Loft is a fantastic option for Paris. A brilliant location, right next to the Moulon Rouge with a metro station and excellent bars, restarants and supermarkets right at your doorstop. It offers a variety of apartment sizes but we comfortably had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in one of the smaller ones. All have their own kitchen and the...

Great location, homely accomodation and exceptionally good assistance from Franswa, nothing was too much trouble and his advice regarding sightseeing and transport was fantastic. It was a pleasure staying there and we wish we had more time to stay. Within walking distance to Monte Marte a must see for most people. Unfortunatley Australia is so far away but if we...

Stayed for 4 nights in the suite - great for two people. Francois very helpful about the area, which is amazingly quiet, even during the rugby/football! Great area, with wonderful food shopping in Rue Lepic next door and close to metro and buses. Would highly recommend - we shall stay again.

We have just return from our vacation in Europe. We stayed in the duplex. The location of the loft is excellent; it is located 150 meter from the Blanche Metro station. You can find near by supermarket (Grand Prix). We were 7 people in the duplex (4 adults and 3 kids). The apartment is very quiet although its location near...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.

“Only saw our ground floor apartment which was quiet but backs onto a small courtyard which could be noisy in the summer. However, you do not come to this area of Paris and expect it to be quiet. I imagine, the other apartments had better views.”
