I stayed at hotel Caron for a week on the spur of the moment when I had difficulties with flights. It was a better experience overall than the first hotel I stayed at in St Germaine. Hotel staff (particularly Helene) were super helpful from the moment I called from the airport, and this continued throughout my stay. The hotel is... More

Very clean and comfortable room for a decent price in le marais district. Good firm beds, crisp linens, l'occitaine toiletries. Thanks to other TA reviewers for helping me find it. Very nice staff as well. Very close to Notre Dame. Also close to L'Ange 20 restaurant that was wonderful.

We stayed here for five nights while in Paris. The hotel is in Marais which is not so tourist but more local Paris vibe. Great cafes and restaurants. It's close to the metro rail which makes it easy to move around Paris . We walked to dinner each night. The hotel rooms are small but modern and clean, only downside... More

This hotel was central to the metro ,shopping and many good restaurants.lt is a small boutique hotel. Rooms comfortable.Quiet inside the room, good beds, bathroom very clean.Housekeeping done to perfection everyday. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a lovely little breakfast room downstairs in a cave like setting.A good continental breakfast provided. A great little place in Paris.

We had not stayed in the 4th Arr. for some time, so decided upon the Hotel Caron for a one night stay as we prepared to move on to Dijon. Hotel is well located, close to many areas one would walk to, plus a metro is very close. The hotel staff is very helpful, the rooms have been decorated very... More

The Marais is my favorite neighborhood in Paris. Great places to eat all around you, not as touristy as areas in St. Germaine and the Latin Quarter or near the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre. This hotel is perfectly situated on a side street which feeds to a main road. The St. Paul metro stop is nearby which can easily... More

Great little hotel, perfect location for visiting Paris with metro stop close by. Excellent bars, shops and restaurants near by. Breakfast is the only thing that could be improved. Opted to eat breakfast out rather than in hotel. Would definitely stay again if in Paris.

A wonderful location in the heart of the Marais (2 blocks from the St-Paul metro stop, 1 block from the pleasant Place St-Cathérine and a short walk to the Place des Vosges). The rooms, though, are well below what I would expect from this class of hotel. Tiny rooms, ugly decor, bathtubs with sides so high that they're difficult to... More

Hotel Caron is in a great position in a small street off Rue de Rivoli. We found it easy to get our bearings and to walk around, both to the central attractions and within the quaint Marais area. Helen in reception was helpful and kind, allowing us to check in early after 2 days of air travel to get here.... More

A small hotel with bigger rooms than most (in Paris) looks like recently renovated, Modern bathroom with rain & hand shower. Very clean! Reception staff very helpful and kind. Transportation to Airport is available (18 euro each). The location, walking distance to many sites and shopping area. Very close to metro M1 and the 69 bus, takes you to the... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
