Hôtel Léopold receives high marks for providing excellent value, with guests appreciating the fair pricing for its prime location and amenities, although there are some remarks about the additional cost of breakfast. The comfortable and spotless rooms, combined with the hotel's commendable cleanliness throughout, contribute to its cozy and elegant atmosphere. While the rooms are occasionally described as compact, the quality service and convenient access to public transport and local attractions more than compensate, making Hôtel Léopold a popular choice for exploring the city.

Hotel Léopold is a sleek and serene hotel. The location was perfect for us, we were close to attractions either on foot or via metro. The nearest metro, Raspail is only a few minutes walk and is located on a central line.

The staff were attentive and friendly, the room was small but perfect and as to be expected from a central Paris hotel! The ability to have breakfast in bed at no extra charge was a wonderful touch.

There were a few items missing each morning from breakfast which was a shame, I understand sometimes there is a lack of availability, but perhaps being able to digitally order breakfast could negate this as any unavailable items can be removed? This would also prevent any breakfast slips being missed as diaper to us one day.

Although not an issue for us, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for those with accessibility issues, it is no fault of the hotel, but being in an older building, the lift is a luggage lift which would be a squeeze with a wheelchair. All floors stop at a mezzanine level, so stairs are not avoidable.

Overall, for the value, I was more than happy with this hotel, would absolutely stay again!

Dear Joe, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your stay. We are delighted to hear that you appreciated the ambiance of our hotel, as well as its convenient location near key attractions and public transport. It’s wonderful to know that the attentiveness of our team, the comfort of your room, and the option for breakfast in bed contributed positively to your experience. We appreciate your constructive feedback regarding breakfast availability and the suggestion for a digital ordering system. This is a valuable idea that we will take into consideration to enhance our guest experience further and ensure greater convenience. Regarding accessibility, we understand the limitations of our historical building and are grateful for your understanding. While we strive to accommodate all our guests, we acknowledge that our structure may pose challenges for those with mobility issues. We are thrilled to know that you found great value in your stay and that you would choose to stay with us again. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future! Warm Regards, Elise

Wow, were we lucky to snag this place last minute for the 2024 Olympics! Hotels were too expensive to book inside the city when we were first planning our trip and typically I don't make spontaneous travel decisions, but less than a week before our departure, I decided to look up who had last-minute availability and Hotel Leopold was a great deal (cheaper than what our non-air-conditioned Air BNB 45 min outside the city was going to be). We switched last minute and I remarked 100 times over the trip what a great decision it was. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and in August heat I was thrilled we had A/C available. We "upgraded" to a Deluxe room, which provided some additional space for our 6-night stay. Typical small European hotel size, but the bed was spacious and comfy and as long as we stayed organized, there was sufficient space for us. The location was absolutely perfect. In a neighborhood that was very quiet in the middle of the night when you're trying to sleep, but a short walk to local restaurants and cafes. Plus, steps (literally) from the 4 and 6 Metro lines that got us to just about everywhere, including the Eiffel Tower in 6ish stops. The 12 Metro line was also a short walk if we needed a different direction. The neighborhood felt safe and it was great that the hotel front desk was staffed 24/7 as we did get back very late a few nights. Overall, I would 100 percent stay here again for a typical trip to Paris. I am so relieved to have found this place!

This hotel is lovely even before you arrive. They send a pre check in email which is considerate, charming and helpful. We got early checkin which was a lovely addition and is hard to find in Paris. When we arrived the staff greeted us with a small, a complimentary bottle of wine (because we booked through Secret Escapes) and gave us all the information we needed, plus our menu so that we could order breakfast in bed (!). The room was tastefully painted and designed, the mini bar had some snacks and juice in which you could help yourself too, there were dressing gowns and slippers, and the bed with its white, crisp sheets was very comfy. We didn't miss anything. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but perfectly functional and well stocked. A handwritten note and some toffees were in the room, which was a nice touch. The windows were thick but of course you could hear some traffic, but it wasn't disturbing. They gave good recommendations and it seemed nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and bathrooms are small but nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast with a small selection was very tasty and completely sufficient. Parking in the neighboring underground car park was possible at a reduced rate by staying at the hotel. A metro station with connections to 2 lines and a bakery are just a few steps away, as are numerous restaurants and a supermarket.

Gorgeous boutique hotel in Montparnasse. Standard rooms whilst compact have everything you need for a short stay with comfortable beds and pillows and blackout curtains. Double glazing completely blocked any noise from the road.
Breakfast was plentiful and cakes a delight. Location is good, easy walk through Montparnasse to the Notre Dame and very easy cycling to all the main landmarks. Good range of restaurants within minutes including for breakfast if you don't have that within your tariff.
Staff were ALL friendly, happy, smiley and very helpful.
Totally recommend and would return to stay again when visiting Paris.

I am disappointed by the services of this hotel. I booked 6 nights in a deluxe room. I had contacted the hotel upstream to prepare my stay (request for a quiet room, ask if the hotel provides slippers). On arrival our room is on the 6th floor and overlooks the comic Raspail so it is noisy at night. No slippers in the room when I was told there would be. Third day no gluten-free bread. I am given a gluten-free loaf of bread certifying that it is gluten-free while I am a celiac. The same day, I return at 5:30 pm, the room was not made. I'm told I have to wait 40 minutes in the lobby for them to take care of it. Relayers are not a priority, they explain. The service is not up to standard. Management is absent and allows its unqualified staff to manage with the exception of 2 receptionists who catch up with staff errors. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired. The staff does not speak French properly. This is not a 4-star level.
Only positive: the room size.
I advise against all these inconveniences.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable although we had a room on the first floor at the back with a view of some pipes! The breakfast was really good quality too with a great location 200 meters from a metro stop. All in all a great experience. Many thanks.

This hotel is very cute very petite- rooms are tiny ours was a superior double but I was glad we were small
Ladies as I couldn’t imagine a man in the room - it was taken up almost completely by the bed . The shower was also a squeeze to get in and out past the toilet. It was very nicely decorated and very clean . Bed was v comfy and the ac worked well as did the shower . Nice hair dryer and toiletries although the shampoo and conditioner in one doesn’t work for me and I was glad I brought my own . We didn’t have breakfast or drinks in the hotel. There was a tiny lift would fit one person and two hand luggage cases and stairs to access the floors - we were on the fourth . There was a place to leave luggage as we arrived early and also wanted to leave bags after check out . The staff were all v friendly and helpful. The area is close to loads of restaurants and the metro is one min up the road . Great location ! I would recommend but be warned it’s a tight squeeze for larger or taller people

My wife and I visited Paris for the first time and I was a little worried we’d be too far from city center but I was very wrong.

The location is situated perfectly near two metro lines that give you quick access to the city (and the metro is so easy to navigate). Not only that, but the neighborhood around Hotel Léopold has such an amazing vibe; it’s quieter than the more popular areas of the city and the people are so friendly and welcoming.

That brings me to the staff at Hotel Léopold—they were nothing short of exceptional. The property is well designed and incredibly well-kept. The rooms are comfortable, if a bit small (I’m a tall guy so it’s difficult to judge). Either way, it didn’t take away from the comfortable beds, the custom line of well-crafted soaps in every room, and the wonderfully plush towels (this last one seems like one in a million).

Overall, it was an incredible stay that set a great tone for our time in Paris. Next time we’re in town, we’ll be staying here again.

We stayed at the hotel with our 5 year old son and had the best experience. The hotel is well located, easy to get to from Gare du Nord station if coming by Eurostar and within walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens, Saint Germain, Notre Dame cathedral - we walked everywhere most days and it is a very safe area.
The room was really nicely appointed - comfortable beds, bathroom was spotless. Nice amenities - luxury toiletries, slippers, coffee machine in the room and tea kettle. The room was quiet and we could open the window for little fresh air.
One of our favourite thing in this hotel was breakfast - everything was such great quality. Fresh orange juice, fresh pastries, nice display of cheese and hams, muesli, baguettes, coffee from the coffee machine, even hot chocolate which was great for kids. There were many families staying with kids. The breakfast space was very cosy.
Lastly, the staff at the hotel were very warm and welcoming and interacted with our son which was very sweet. When we were leaving he was sending love hearts to the hotel saying - 'Leopold you are the best'! Thank you for such a warm welcome, the stay has made our Paris experience even more memorable.

I used my debit card as a credit card without any problems --I paid in advance, and they never asked any questions when I presented my identification. That said, you should ask to be sure. Also, our train arrived in town around 7:30am. By the time we collected our bags it was still really WAY too early to check in, but we stopped by and asked if we could leave our stuff. They were delightful and held our belongings until we returned after 3pm to "officially" check into our room. I loved this place, I think you will too.
