This hotel was a great surprise. We were slightly worried when we arrived and saw the rating sign outside the hotel had only 2 stars. When we entered the reception we were very surprised to find the entire hotel had just been renovated, and to a very high standard. The room was small, as expected, however, the room was "brand...

I booked this hotel last year and the photos of the hotel did not look the best. It needed a refurb but as the price was good and the location was perfect and as I was attending an event in Versailles, I didn't mind the decor. Between the time I booked and the date of the stay, the entire hotel...

I wasn't expecting much when I walked into the lobby, but my impressions only got better. The rooms are newly remodeled in a modern style with a good size bathroom. You are walking distance from the Chateau, the marche and plenty of shopping. Restaurants are very close too and even a grocery if you want to self-cater. The front desk...

Most Mercures are 3 star, this one is a 2 star, so more like an Ibis. As such, limited facilities - just a breakfast room, no bar and a small seating area in reception. But, if a cheap and comfortable room in the centre of this sprawling town is all that is needed, this is fine. Be aware it is...

The rooms are really small and basic. If your room is important, then don't stay here. The location is great. Staff are very helpful. Good value.

We stayed overnight in this hotel while passing through on our way to Normandy. While this hotel was a GREAT value (paid 70 euro/night) I am glad we were only there one night. We have 2 children and our room was very very small for a family. There were two beds and that took up about the whole room. The...

This hotel is centrally located on a calm, safe street. We arrived on a whim late at night, and asked to see the rooms. The room we checked out on the second floor was pokey and had a funny smell. Not impressed with the deco. Like a neglected ibis. I must admit that it was clean though and very calm,...

We are 30-something discerning hotel stayers who spent a night at the Mercure during our honeymoon in October 2008. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the chateau, gare rive gauche and restaurants. The receptionist was extremely helpful and even drew a mud map for us to get to our car rental drop off point. The room itself...

Small budget hotel, but clean and does the job. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the whole place seemed to be run by a single young man who checked me in, ran the bar and acted as waiter. Small room but clean and comfortable. Much cheaper than larger city centre hotels, but transport links are good. I was visitng...

My husband and I stayed at the hotel 2 nights for New Years on a bus tour. We found the hotel to be in a decent location in Versaille & relatively inexpensive. The room was small, but it was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was included with our stay & was very nice. It is a typical European breakfast with the...
