A good base for exploring this beautiful historic town and the Camargue. Situated beside the canal in a quiet setting with clean, modern rooms, a really good, fresh breakfast (€9) and plenty of parking. Sadly we were not able to use the invitingly sunny patio to sit & relax, but maybe it will be open later in the year.

We booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 1.! The room was clean but the pool was green and unusable. Reception was open when we arrived at about 4.00 and by 6.00 we had decided one night would be plenty we advised the lady in reception and contacted Booking . Com who were very efficient and agree to limit... More

Corinne and Victoria are doing an excellent job since they took over the previous management in february 2014. Rooms and bath are all renewed and modern, attention is great, breakfast is fresh and well prepared, pool is a nice little place to cool off after long walks through Camargue, the canal in front of the hotel makes a perfect camarguese... I had great difficulty making the initial booking. I was corresponding in English by email and the hotel would reply that they were full on a totally different date from the one I was requesting. Eventually I could make the booking. Then when I went to confirm it just before leaving for France, I was told the hotel was full!... More

Hôtel Le Médiéval has much going for it – modern complex with a pool in the center, sleek renovated rooms, location overlooking a canal, convenient private parking right in front of the hotel – that are offset by what it doesn’t have – attention to small details and empathy to the needs of customers. Le Médiéval lies on Avenue Pont... More

This hotel is located on the canal aleasant five minute stroll to the city walls. The hotel is quite modern has a pool and dedicated parking across the street. Our room was quiet, reasonable sized and spotless.. The aircon was needed and it was effective. Our only gripe would be that reception is not available for large chunks of the... More

We stayed here 3 nights. Had pluses and minuses. The minuses are manageable if you know them in advance! Pluses: - great location, easy to walk to the old town in the walls, just 5 minutes away - dedicated parking for guests - spotlessly clean, both the bedroom and the breakfast room - good working air conditioning and towel heaters... Stayed here as a group of 7 cyclists. I have stayed in Aigues Mortes before but stayed inside the walls. This hotel was excellent from the very beginning. Check in was a doddle with the lovely man and woman who run the place. The place is exceptionally clean, very well laid out and very well kept. I will stay here... More

The hotel is a few minutes stroll to the lovely town of Aigues-Mortes and has easy driving access to the rest of the surrounding area. The hotel is fairly small with only a dozen rooms or so and is more of a B&B since there is no bar or restaurant (only continental breakfast) Our room was clean, of good size... More
