The hotel is located within a few minutes walk from the train station and the main town center and about 20 minute walk to the medieval city. The rooms are basic and very clean. The breakfast is a great value for a good selection of items. It was quiet at night.

Spent one night here in Room #10 on the second floor. Room type is double room and paint colors are cheery. FYI there are stairs, no elevator so let them know when you reserve if mobility is an issue. Bed was very comfortable and towels of good quality (soft). Free internet worked well (password required). Bath amenities included 1 bar...

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and were most impresssed. Yes, it is quirky and the rooms are bijoux, but that added to its charm. It was clean and tidy and in a great location for access to the train station, shuttle bus to airport,Canal du Midi, and the old cite. If you are looking for luxury this...

We had such a lovely stay at the Astoria. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming...and didn't laugh at our terrible French (well not too much anyway!). Our room was simple and lovely...very comfortable and charming. We stayed in the main part of the hotel which is lovely. The location is ideal, right next to Le Canal du Midi and...

This hotel won't win any design awards, but it is cheap and clean and had very comfy beds! You can walk to the old city in about 20 minutes and is also about a 3 min (with luggage) walk from the station. It is very convenient. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby as well as boats offering rides...

We stayed at the Astoria for 2 nights while visiting Carcassonne to see the Bastille fireworks. Our room was in the adjacent building to the main hotel, but it wasn't a problem, despite being close to the railway line, the sound was minimal, we really didn't notice the trains. The rooms were spotless, shower was great. Breakfast was fresh with...

Service very personal and helpful. Room - airconditioned, clean. Breakfast - fresh, well serviced and replenished. Location - great for Canal (hired bikes cheaply through hotel) 5 mins walk from station - easy to find. Nice area of Carcassone - plenty places to eat/drink. Highly recommend

The position of the hotel is OK. Few minutes to the train station and to canal du midi. About 20-30 minutes on foot to the old town which is not a problem for tourist used to walk around. The hotel and its anex are in the streets with weak traffic. I supose that the noise from the street is low....
