My friend Peter and I stayed at Gite La Fraissinede in mid May 2014. It exceeded our expectations of what a south of France experience would be.The apartments are in a converted winery -shuttered windows, tile floors, private outdoor spaces where we had dinner & drank coffee in the morning, with fresh baked bread and croissant for our breakfast! Our apartment was completely private with full cooking facilities so we went to the local village and bought chicken, vegetables, wine and cheese and ate there every night. During the day we explored the surrounding area and within the vicinity of the gite visited a 1200 year old abbey, fortress castles, churches built by the Romans and had a picnic on the shores of the Mediterranean. This is lovely accommodation with a relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful swimming pool and large grounds so it never feels crowded. Beautiful views along the valley with walks and wildlife on your doorstep. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and have put together a great wlecome pack for visitors. We hope to return one day.

This summer we stayed at La Fraissinede for a week, and it was great in every way. The hosts are incredibly nice people and they do their absolute best for you to enjoy their place. There is plenty of space, so even though we were 4 families we had plenty of space for all of us to enjoy the magical garden. And the swimming pool has the most fantastic view. The pictures on the webpage really do not do justice to this pearl. I will sure come back.
