I chose this hotel since I would like to stay inside the old city, and stroll around at night, as well as in the morning before others rush in. The building itself is interesting, facilities good, room is nice, spacious. The receptionist Celine was very helpful, and extremely responsive to my requests through email, helped plan my first trip to...

The rooms we were initially given (#30 and 31) were very small for two people in each of them. We barely had enough space to reach each side of the bed. We had to pay 30 additional euros per room to have decently sized rooms (#36 and 37). Apart from being slightly larger, the new rooms were nothing fancy either,...

We stayed for one night while travelling through Europe for 6 weeks. We were put in one of the rooms in the building opposite the main building - maybe were were just put in a bad area. The hallways and rooms smelt (not like an old building, just smelt dirty). Although staff were friendly and pleasant and I can't really...

Here's the thing about Le Donjon--where else are you going to stay? If you can afford the ritzy La Cité and you're looking for opulence, you won't be considering Le Donjon anyway. The location is unbelievable--like you're in a dream world, especially if you have kids with you. Considering the fact that Le Donjon would probably fill up no matter...

The hotel is right in the heart of Carcasonne, inside the walls and so very convenient for sightseeing and soaking up the atmosphere. Without exception all the staff we dealt with were quite charming and very helpful. Having read other reviews it is clear that some of the rooms are delightful. Unfortunately ours was not one of them. We had...

We stayed in main house and the interior was like stepping back in time . Rooms were lovely and staff very helpful. We liked the fact that the evenings were quieter when the throngs left la citie and it felt less touristy. Hotel is superbly placed in la citie. Beds were a little on the soft side for us.

This hotel is located inside the walls of "la Cite`". That means you need to park in the lot outside the walls NEAR THE CEMETARY, and call the hotel to pick you up. They will then store your car in their secure parking lot for the evening. We stayed in "La Maison des Remparts" building and found it to be...

Nice hotel located in the very heart of Carcassone - inside the old town (old town walls) and in close distance to the main sightseing places. You wake up and once outside the hotel you feel yourself in the middle age :) The only problem can be is that you need to park your car a little bit far (10-15...

When I requested information for how to arrive and park, I got back very helpful instructions from reception. The free carpark was immediately outside the walls, and a car was waiting for us. It was fun to breeze through the gate and along the medieval-width streets (although we did think Pierre could have slowed down a bit for safety.) Our...

One night in carcassonne. Our room in the courtyard was a little dated. No air con - plus ground floor = HOT!. Garden could be beautiful but needed a little TLC. Staff were excellent. Breakfast busy (holiday weekend) but good. All in all a pleasant stay. Would go to hotel de la chateau next time!!
