The location cannot be beaten. It's in the old medieval cite in a great spot.Great views from 2nd floor corridor windows. Very peaceful when I was there but plenty to do outside. There are times when reception is closed. Good basic breakfast included In rate. Very helpful staff. I would return.

We stayed for two nights in this hostel while visiting Carcassonne. I booked our stay online and did not receive the information of bringing a towel or where to park the car for free, a vital information given the prices the car parks in front of the Cité asks for. Luckily, I always take a towel with me and the...

Arriving at the gates of the fortified city on a motorbike, I needed somewhere to offload my luggage while touring the place. A fellow biker told me this place would take my luggage, and he was right. As a bonus, the concierge and I got on like a house on fire. What a welcome! I ended up signing on for...

The peremeter walk is the best part. Inside, sadly you are overwhelmed with both expensive and tacky souvenir shops and overpriced eateries. Go early and leave before the mayhem. Carcasonne is a lovely city.

It's a youth hostel so don't expect 5* luxury but it's clean, quiet, comfy beds and lovely staff. We had booked a private room and were given a 6 bed dorm all to ourselves so space was not an issue. Late September/early October is end of season so the hostel was pretty empty. The location is, however, 5*. Right in...

I visited the Hostel several years ago so I knew what to expect. The place was kept clean and the bedroom had the welcome addition of an electric fan which was useful during the warm nights. The staff were pleasant and helpful..

Considering the value for money, it was a good place to stay and probably the cheapest way to stay in the walled city. Downside: the doors are closing automatically what courses a lot of noise. Don't forget bringing food and drinks, it is expensive in the old city.

The hostel was fantastic! It is an affordable way to stay in the beautiful walled city of Carcassonne. The room was spacious and clean. The bunk beds were comfortable and fairly sturdy. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The highlight of the hostel is the garden. It is a beautiful spot to relax after a busy day of...

The hostel is in an ideal location to visit and stay around the castle area. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel is located beside a small school, so expect to hear the joys of life at play! But don't let this put you off. School tours do frequent the hostel but this is not really a problem! Just...

It was very cool to visit Carcassonne. And when you are tired, you can come back in your room when you want. When you go out, you are directly in Carcassonne. You don't need walk or take a bus. You are direct inside. That was really cool. And the restaurants next to the Auberge de Jeunesse was really cheap.
