My wife and I take two or three trips a year to Europe. We like to stay in cities or towns located on the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea, or rivers and lakes, and stay in waterfront hotels. On a recent trip this year, we spent five nights in Collioure, France, at the Hotel Les Caranques. Collioure is a...

We had the same room with a large bath and the most wonderful view and balcony. Collioure is one of my very favorite places to visit. The parking is still tricky, the rooms are still quite modern, but the view, location and wonderful walk close to the sea makes this a very special hotel. It appeared that the staff was...

This hotel has all of it's rooms overlooking the sea and the port of Collioure. Rooms have everything you need (except tea/coffee making) and are very clean. It is very calm & quiet and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Good value for money.

A nice little hotel with typically French decor (grey & quirky). Lovely friendly staff at reception. Small room and balcony but the view across the bay to the village more than makes up for that. An easy walk by the sea into Collioure centre. We were there for 3 nights and didn't have breakfast until the last day. I had...

While researching our road trip to France I wanted to spend some time in Collioure. I had made up my mind that Les Caranques would be a good choice based on Trip Advisor reviews. Although the car parking situation is a little difficult, the hotel stay was lovely with a beautiful view and a spacious room and bath. The decor...

We enjoyed our one-night stay here. The rooms are pleasant and clean with stunning views across the bay to the village, although a little on the small side. The main challenge is parking – it literally took the helpful assistance of a fellow guest as well as the receptionist to put our car in the assigned spot: This is not...

We stayed for two nights here last year and fell in love with the view. So much so that we wasted no time in booking on-line via the hotel website to stay again for two more nights in August, knowing that it would be almost impossible to get a good room anywhere in Collioure if we booked later. We received...

Great position and views of the port. The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was continental - nothing special but adequate. The rooms are not very spacious, but the decor is new and more than adequate. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. In this specific location you wouldn't spend much time in the room anyway. The hotel has plenty...

No air condition , very difficult to sleep when we finally got to sleep we were woken very early by loud water spraying outside on the terrace below. 150 Euro for this small room was way overpriced. avoid
