The Pullman Montpellier Center gives you that soothing, away-from-it-all feeling although it happens to be conveniently close-to-it-all. Situated between the old center of Montpellier and the Lez river in the Bofill-designed Antigone district, this hotel is a peaceful setting for a family holiday or a company retreat. Our roof-top Mediterranean restaurant, Le Vertigo, welcomes you for breakfast or a meal. Why not relax afterward with a cocktail in the Zanzi'Bar

We loved going to the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, it was hot and there was a good atmosphere, we appreciated the location of the hotel in the city center, we could do everything on foot, the Place de la Comédie, shops and restaurants, impeccable housekeeping in the room and by the pool, very good

We stayed for 4 nights (which is two too many in Montpellier) -- 1 night in a Classic room & 3 nights in a Deluxe room. There is no real difference between the rooms -- same size & no view in either. The only discernable differences are that the Deluxe rooms are on higher floors have free soft drinks in the minibar (while the Classic room has 2 free bottles of water), Deluxe have a funky sliding wall between the bed area & the sink/shower area, & a Nespresso coffee machine. To us, these "upgrades" are not worth paying extra for. We arrived 50 minutes prior to the posted check-in time & were advised "Your (Classic) room is not ready yet." We waited in the lobby rather than check our bags at the front desk & leave our valuzbles. When I re-approached the front desk at the appointed check-in time, they found a room after calling different housekeepers on different floors to see if their basic room was available anywhere. (Enzo at the front desk at least made the effort & found one.) The next day, we repeated this exercise in frustration as we waited with our luggage in the lobby for a Deluxe room to become available. The hotel offered to move our baggage for us from one room to another when a room became available, but we again chose not to leave our valuables unattended. If the hotel was as full as they claim, it seems to me that management needs to make their check-out time earlier & grant fewer requests for late check-out so that this situation does not occur. It was very, very frustrating. They did, however, offer us one free wine/beer/soft drink between the 2 of us at the bar for our troubles; we declined.

Very nice hotel! Good people, good service, good house cleaning and the most comfortable bed ever! The rooms were nice and tidy and last but not least, a good functioning airconditioning. Arent there ant complaints? Well there is just one! The rooftop Vertigo restaurant is awful. With the breakfast the plates are often dirty and I have to put aside at least 5-6 plates every morning to find a decent cleaned one. The meals itself were okayish to good but expensive for what you get. Last complaint is that while we were there with kids and a lot of other people with even younger kids too, some local people smoked weed next to the pool and they aloud it to happen. Nobody from the staff did anything about it.

Nice hotel, well located but the swimming pool area needs some attention. The chairs with cushions are used all day by people using the pool therefore in the evening you can't sit on them if you want a drink outside as they are wet. The pool area and the toilets need to be cleaned more regularly. If you are using the restaurant in the evening the toilets floor are really wet from people using them in the day.
