We stayed three nights and I wanted to stay forever. La Maugerie has to be the most relaxing, peaceful & welcoming B&B there is and has the most amazingly starry skies (no light pollution). I can't put into words how totally relaxed I felt there but it a very, very special place. The owners Liz & Mark are also very,... More

You'll find it difficult to find a better B&B. Perfect house, perfect rooms, perfect location, better than spotless, delicious food (Liz is a very, very good chef), and last but definitely not least Liz and Mark are the best hosts you can wish for. This is a truly relaxing home where you will enjoy your stay and will want to... More

La Maugerie is what we would call the best B&B in France. The rooms where very spacious and would compare to most 5* hotel rooms in France. The breakfast is a very good continental and evening meals are available and to an excellent standard. Liz and Mark the hosts are everything you would wish. Very helpful and nothing is ever... More

This wonderful old Normandy farmhouse has been beautifully restored by British owners Liz & Mark. It is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is a excellent choice for easy access to the Normandy beaches and other local tourist attractions. When we were there in May the blossom was out, and the hedgerows alive with wild flowers including... More

For my parner's birthday we decided to take a trip to Normandy, and our first stop was at La Maugerie. We had booked a meal for the evening of our stay and Liz surpassed herself with 3 courses of delicious food and a bottle of sparkling wine, which my partner enjoyed so much that Liz gave him a bottle the... Well, what can we say? My husband and I wanted to stop over in Normandy after a trip to Jersey to extend our holiday a little and normally we like to stay in a 4/5 star hotel. To cover the locations we were hoping to see, it was difficult to find a suitable hotel.... so with reluctance I decided to... More

Liz and Mark were delightful hosts to us this summer. We (2 couples) decided to drive from the Beaune area over to Normandy, but had no reservations. After a few disappointing calls to other B&Bs in the area, we were given their number by another innkeeper. Luckily for us, there had been a cancellation and off we went to St.... More

We enjoyed everything about this B&B. Mark and Liz were amazing hosts as well as terrific at keeping my children (7 & 12) busy so I could enjoy. The home is well kept with beautiful rooms that were clean and well kept. All rooms had fabulous views of the country. The home cooked meals were to die for! It was... More
