My dad and I stayed here for three nights when touring Normandy. We loved it! The suite was perfect for the two of us, a large bedroom and separate living room with pullout couch. Newly renovated, clean, and very comfortable. Be aware that there is no elevator!

An excellent location right in the center of town. Definitely reserve a parking spot if you will have a car - we did and it was waiting for us when we arrived. If you don't not sure where you'd find a spot. Very historic hotel, I enjoyed being in the bar area, with all they leather chairs and signed photo's...

We stayed here for 3 nights while touring the D-Day landing sites and local museums. Friendly staff, excellent service, comfortable rooms in a welcoming setting. They have a bar/sitting room filled with historic photographs of famous guests and a fireplace that was lit in the evenings. Very cozy. One comment about the bathroom in our room: the diffused overhead lighting...

This was a well positioned hotel, close to all the interesting sights of the city. The parking was convenient and there is a little bar in the hotel which was nice. The food in the restaurant was very good but the night we visited we had very slow service. The room was clean but VERY small - far smaller than...

A great place to relax and unwind. The lounge is a cozy place for a drink and conversation with the other guests. As one guest put it when she settled down in a comfortable leather chair "I feel like I am in a dream."

Great location right in the centre of town. Car parking is available but costs €9 a night and you must reserve it in advance. My room was very small - it would be a crush for 2 people, I was solo - and well decorated but no A/C - not a problem in April but I would guess it would...

Le Lion d'Or more than exceeded our expectations. Great location and a very comfortable room. Bar is warm and inviting. Especially enjoyed the pictures in the bar of past guests. Staff was excellent. Special thanks to Valerie for her exceptional service. She was very helpful and always friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for exploring the area.

Visiting in the off season, the hotel was not at full occupancy. Which made for very easy stay. NOTE: Be sure to reserve parking place else you will have difficulty accommodating a vehicle. Even with low occupancy, the hotel's few parking spots were taken for the duration of our stay! Hotel is very well situated. In easy walking distance of...

Such a lovely hotel to stay. Right in the centre of Bayeux with private car park, by arrangement. The rooms have just been refurbished so are of a very high standard as is the service. Breakfast is an additional €14 each but there are other little cafes within a minutes walk if all you wsnt is coffee and croissants

Three old chaps, chums since forever, we had a Brittany ferries two nights car plus hotel deal including a shared room for three. The room worked very well and was very comfortable, even sharing. Very friendly staff, warmly welcoming, and a great breakfast. The hotel is deliciously French with a courtyard and somewhere for the car and you can see...
